It was a great lower level unit. Lots of blankets and thoughtful touches. The view was a beautiful field where we saw a few deer, not the river. Great location near family friendly activities like Wild Mountain and mini-golf
Gorgeous, cozy place perfect for a quick getaway. Hot tub was awesome. Totally worth checking out. Homeowners were upstairs but we barely even noticed they were there. Only heard them one time! Did not bother us at all.
We enjoyed our stay. The accommodations were very spacious and the host was very helpful and responsive. The area was very peaceful. Parking was convenient. A couple things worth noting though:-itâs a basement apartment in a large house. It was very cold unless all 3 fireplaces were on. - no cattle for cooking water for tea in the kitchen- area- bathroom is very neglected and an eye sore compared to the rest of the nice apartment. The lock in the bathroom does doesnât work, so there is no privacy. Paint is pealing off the walls and baseboard due to water damage and poor ventilation. Bathroom vent in the ceiling is so clogged with dust itâs not doing its job. Paint is also pealing off the handles of the vanity. Lots of water damage on the bathroom door. Bathroom needs renovation. - mini blinds in the bedroom window let a lot of light in the morning so itâs hard to sleep past 6am. Windows could use some curtains.
Stayed for a couple days in the winter for my husbands birthday . It was quiet and relaxing . The hottub was perfect and the accommodations were lovely . I would deff come back if able .
We came to hike and attend a wine event, catching up with a friend. The location was good - to the parks and winery. The parking was a little tricky, as parking was limited and turning around space was limited. Backing out was not a great option. Kitchen was more limited than what we thought, no sink. It was quiet and well decorated, owners were good communicators and the hot tub was nice after a long hike. Bedrooms were nice and beds were very comfortable. Good spot for the Taylors Falls activities.
I was in the area to teach at a residency at Hazelden and brought my parents and husband along. The owner was very receptive to all questions and needs.
This was a great location for a long girls weekend. Really nice space outdoors to enjoy and 2 comfortable beds with comfortable living space to relax in. (If you need to have adults sleep on the pull out/futon or bunk beds it may not be as comfy for bad backs ect- but the space is there if you need it)
Really easy access and the long sloped sidewalk down to the unit made it easy to bring in luggage on wheels.
Host was great and responsive.
Just keep in mind there is no sink in the kitchenette and if you plan to make any food it needs to be microwave/toaster oven, crockpot only as there is no stove.
Totally doable for packing picnic lunches and snacks for your daily excursions & plan accordingly.
It was a great space we would stay at again if in there area. Very easy check out process.
Was under the impression that i was getting the whole house to myself just to find out, in fine print that it says her and an old man live upstairs. I found that out as i checked in and she refused a refund. Is what it is i guess i should always read the fine print just figured under the circumstances the owner wouldâve been understanding but i guess not.
This was a lovely spot to stay, clean, quiet and beautiful.
The grounds look out at woods and prairie. The inside is clean and cute. Plus, a hot tub!
Mary Jo is so kind and helpful.
Make sure you know itâs a kitchenette not a full kitchen, but it is well stocked and worked for our needs.
I would definitely come back!
I couldnât get reimburse for my Covid cancellation. But had to rebook & pay again ? The 1st rebook the dates got screwed up. So at this point Iâd like to see 50% or more credit on this stay . But havenât seen anything at this time . Otherwise I payed twice to stay there once.
We had a great time, lots of laugh, the last day we looked for a toaster for our bagels, we could not find. So we packed everything up and did one last sweep and open a closet and found the toaster oven. We laughed so hard. We did not use the hot tub but looked like fun. Glad i read the reviews so knew no sink or stove as we had to rethink our food.
Beds very comfortable. Very clean. Spacious. Bathroom was great. Super confused how to use hot tub, never asked and didn't really have time, seems like one needed to ask permission as it was locked up. Paper work left out looked like an additional fee was needed, no sure, but again didn't ask. Really a wonderful place and met our needs very well. Owner very nice.
