Great location close to Times Square. The checkin process was horrible. I was given the wrong location. After discussing with my contact, they said they mixed up my reservation with someone else and gave me the right location. After arriving at 10:00 pm, the key to the unit was not in the lockbox. I called my contact who said that a leak from the upstairs unit caused the ceiling to cave in the tub and that workers were finishing up fixing and cleaning up and that they would be ready in about 3 hours. I said what am I supposed to do for 3 hours with our luggage. Long-story short, he said it should be ready in 1 to 1.5 hours so we dragged our luggage to a nearby restaurant and ate. We got a call around 11:15 pm and said we could go and wait for the cleaners to finish if we wanted to. We got to the unit and were let in by the cleaner who finished up in about 20 more minutes. We talked to the cleaner and asked if there were other workers there cleaning up after the leak from the ceiling and she said no. I read a prior review from another guest who gave a terrible review that they were told of the same excuse that the ceiling caved in on the tub and had to wait like us. First, there is no tub and second there was no visible evidence of work done on the ceiling. This was simply a lie. My guess is they couldn't find someone to clean. Walls are super thin and you can hear everything so it was difficult to sleep. Other than the location, I would not recommend staying here.

Great location with lots of beds

Great location with easy walking access to Times Square /Manhatten and Central Park. Lots of beds packed into small apartment. The bunk beds are in a very small kitchen with limited seating ( only 2 on small ledge) - There is no living room. Only 4 thin towels and one small hand towel provided for our entire family for multiple days. Bunk Beds were creaking and not supportive. There were several keurig cups were provided but no coffee maker to use them. Not clear if all linens were washed as some appeared dirty.Before booking our stay we inquired about leaving luggage before check in and were told it could be accommodated - but when asked the week of our stay told would cost us. The owner uses a property management company who doesn’t communicate with you till 30 minutes before check in time. Ultimately this is a winner for location.

I would stay here again!

Overall we were very happy with the stay. The location was close to Times Square (a couple blocks) and all 4 of us had our own bed to sleep in which is a huge bonus. Just a few things to take note of. I’d highly suggest bringing a fan to drown out some of the noise. Locations is near a fire station and NY city is quite active. If you’re sleeping in the room with 3 beds especially because it is facing the street (and backed up to the complex entrance doors and you hear people coming in and out of the doors). Wasn’t a deal breaker for us, we had a fan that helped a lot and I expected some noise anyhow. The apartment was clean and was perfect for our 4 night stay. Suggestion to the owner - providing more than one towel per person for a 4 night stay and there wasn’t a plunger in the unit and we had to DoorDash one to fix an issue. The beds were very comfortable and each room has an AC unit in it. We would stay here again.

Overall pretty good but communication was terrible

The listing accurately portrayed the property - it was convenient to attractions, dining, and other points of interest. It was clean and cozy as well. My only issue was with communication with the host between booking and arrival. Slow to respond (sometimes 24 to 48 hours) on time-sensitive questions. May not be the best choice for those who are meticulous planners.

The appartment was located quite central so you coud go easily to all highlights. Also a lot kf restaurants and supermarkets were nearby. The floor wasn’t really clean as were some of the cups and plates. There was supposed to be a hairdryer but there wasn’t, the manager arranged one later. It took quite some time before I got a reaction to questions.

I believe I was scammed


I arrived in Manhattan, contacted the host, let him know I was there at 1:30 PM
 Contacted the host again when I was 20 minutes away from the address and still had not received an entry code at 3:30 PM
 The host said someone would meet me at the property, I went there with my daughter, her husband and three young children
 Waited for over an hour
 Spoke with the property manager, who said there was a plumbing issue, the ceiling fell into the bathtub, there was no water, and would put me in a place Equivalent
then offered an apartment in the Bronx
 We paid to stay near Time Square
 I asked for a full refund, I have not received communication from anyone regarding the cancellation, the property, my refund, my next step is to reach out to my AMEX to reverse the charges as it appears to be a scam
