« On entering the hotel you will be met by warm and inviting staff. off to the left of the reception is an insanely stocked whisky lounge but prices are on the steep side for you average dram. « Un très bon séjour. Le personnel est accueillant, l'emplacement est parfait et très calme. Le lit superposé pour les enfants est parfait. Le petit déjeuner très correct. L'hôtel est vétuste et l'équipement de la salle de bain réduit au minimum mais c'est un très bon deux étoiles. »

« Situated in the very centre of Kelso, convenient place to stay when exploring the area. Checkin was done very easily, with clear instructions sent beforehand. There is a Greggs just in front of the hotel, and also several restaurants and takeaways in close vicinity. There was double glazing in the room, and hence better insulation. »

« We arrived at the VRBO after a bit of difficulty locating the house number as we were not aware of the house number and a letter after it…maybe 7E or something like that. We also thought once you entered the lockbox code the door would unlock. It took quite some time after a cousin drove up to advise there is a key inside the lockbox. Not easy to open. « Hotel is very pet-friendly and hence the reason for our visit. We stayed in a 1 bedroom cottage which was ideal for us and our dog. The only criticism is the food at Spike's Bar (at the golf club) was a little bit disappointing. »
