« What a perfect place to stay. We stayed in one of the two bedroom cottages which was perfect. I could not say a negative thing about the cottage. We only stayed for 2 nights while visiting near bye family. But we will be back for a proper break »

« Situated in the very centre of Kelso, convenient place to stay when exploring the area. Checkin was done very easily, with clear instructions sent beforehand. There is a Greggs just in front of the hotel, and also several restaurants and takeaways in close vicinity. There was double glazing in the room, and hence better insulation. »

« Lovely hotel with excellent pub attached, particularly good for a drink but also served good food. Breakfast was also very good, and packed lunches are can be bought for anyone on a hiking trip if you arrange this the evening before »

« Great location, fabulous views of the rolling hills and loch, together with a real sense of 'getting away from it all'. The downstairs of the cottage was cosy and adequately equipped. We particularly enjoyed the open fire that was set up ready to go, we only had to light it and there was plenty of spare wood to burn. A point for our own learning is that next time we will select somewhere that does not welcome pets as many parts of the upstairs did smell like dogs were there before us. So much so...
