In general disappointed with the hotel - no free wifi service and have to pay for parking. The swimming pool was not clean.

The hotel is nice but somewhat dated. We had dinner at the hotel and was not impressed. The staff is not very efficient but that seems to be the standard in NZ.

We only stayed one night . Nice hotel, staff are friendly, great breakfast. I personally found the bed very very soft but thats just a personal preference.

Worst managed Heritage Hotel in NZ! Forced to pay for upgrade to larger room after already checking into the room, paid parking at a premium in a city that isn't busy whatsoever, paid internet in a premium hotel?!?!

Best hotel in the area, but the competition is mainly motels and travel lodges. Staff were polite and friendly, but the hotel was running a skeleton crew over the Christmas holiday period meaning services such as room cleaning were limited. We slept in the day after our arrival from a long trip and found a pile of towels outside our door with a note that housekeeping was off duty for the rest of the day. Not what one would expect from a supposedly top class hotel with room-rates to match! Another gripe was the "free" wifi. We stayed 7 nights and were limited to the amount of data we could use. the limit was easily exceeded and we had to purchase more data allowance! Again not something we have ever encountered at a top level hotel anywhere. The issue here is not the cost, but the principle - for goodness sake, provide the service for your guests and if you have to charge, put it into the room rate! To charge a guest who stays 7 nights a few extra dollars for additional wifi data allowance is frankly an insult! Other than that, nice hotel, nice location and reasonable value for money compared to what else is on offer in the area.

Great hotel centre of town

Hotel is bang in centre of town, and staff are very helpful in giving local advice. Beds are amazing, which is perfect after a day walking in Abel Tasman NP. In house Japanese restaurant is simply superb.
