We had a lovely stay at John’s Vrbo! The apartment was spacious and the beds were super comfortable. I would only advise others that despite being listed as having a television there is not one. Also, the building is relatively secure but there were a few times where we approached in the building in the lobby by someone asking for money who did not live there. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated how close we were to the metro!

The area and the unit were not accurately represented. The area was very undesirable and unsafe. There were people engaging in explicit sexual activity as well as blatant drug use in the back and side of the unit location alley where the parking entrance is located. Our Ford Edge did not fit in the garage. The entrance was too low and this was not disclosed to us previously to our arrival. An SUV or a larger vehicle will not fit. As for the unit, it was in need of a deep cleaning. In the listing a Smart TV was mentioned but there was no TV. In addition the two bathrooms both have peeling pain on the walls. We did not stay due to our dissatisfaction with the unit and feeling unsafe at the location.We tried to negotiate a refund as we had to find other accommodations, and they were expensive at the last minute. We do not recommend staying in this property.

Great condo near metro and shops! Comfortable beds. Host very quick and helpful at responding to questions. Previous reviews were helpful so we brought my son's smaller car so had no problem with the parking. We also brought coffee, tea, etc. since kitchen didn't have much.

The host was the nicest most accommodating person. He was the best part of the experience. The apartment is decent but there was no central AC which is something to remember if you are going in the summer months but has heating. It’s also a residential apartment with elevators and stairs with no railing inside the place. It was overall kinda clean but there was dust and a few stains on the towels and the sheets which we washed thanks to the in unit washer and dryer. But the dryer takes a few cycles so keep that in mind. The TV was also gone which again was whatever just odd. The parking is also a wild adventure it’s through a very narrow alleyway and to the right in a downward slope that has a clearance of 5’5. You are not getting a tall car or something wide down there without running the car. The spots are tight turns and the pipes at the top pose a hazard. In the alley way that can be seen from the windows you are right behind a lovely organization that works as a shelter for the community. However, at night it is full of people and the cops were hanging around. Nothing happened but if that is something that makes you uncomfortable or you would not be okay with (which is completely understandable) then this is not the place for you at all. It’s in a central location near a lot of the must hit up areas and we were there really only at night so it meet our needs.

Great potential

Apartment is in a good location- we walked everywhere we needed to go. There was noise in back alley at night that we heard with the windows open, but that’s expected in an urban area. Parkade was definitely a tight fit for our sedan but it was nice not to worry about parking. Host was responsive and quickly answered all questions though we would have appreciated being given info (WiFi, check in/check out instructions) without needing to ask for itGreat potential for this property, but as other reviews mentioned it needs a deep clean and lots of touches to make the stay flawless. Items we typically find in rentals weren’t there—things like an info binder, kitchen items, and tissues. Hopefully the host addresses these items quickly for other guests.

Nice location, parking garage warning

It's a decent property in a nice location. However, it felt like no one had done a deep clean in a while; nonetheless, the place was pretty tidy. The biggest issue for us was the parking garage. It is TINY and VERY hidden/narrow while getting in! Luckily, my car was small enough to fit (I have a VW Golf), but that isn't to say my spatial awareness wasn't tested (8-point turn just to get in!). If you are driving a larger vehicle, I don't recommend it, or you can try to find street parking (for a price). The owner was super responsive and helped us when we had issues getting into the unit. This place is good if you're not too picky about cleanliness and the lack of hot water! The location is excellent and within walking distance of everything you would need (shopping, food, alcohol, restaurants, etc.). I'd consider going back!
