Parents, please read this before booking. Chris was very nice when we checked in, she even showed us around the property and told us all about the local entertainment and things to do. The property itself is in a beautiful location right above the lake with easy access to the docks for fishing/boatingIf I was a younger man with no kids this would have been excellent but I don’t think this is a very kid friendly stay as the space indoors is very cramped, as well as many trip hazards outside on the patio. I was constantly worried about my kids tripping on the cracked and uneven concrete that is all over outside. Plus, there is no bathtub for giving baths although we cannot fault them for this because we knew this prior to booking. The front area of the cabin stays nice and cool but the bedrooms and bathroom stay very humid and hot because the whole place is cooled by one window A/C unit. Additionally upon entering the unit for the first time we smelled a strong sewer smell, which I can only hope was unique to our stay, but there was not any venting in the bathroom, so if anyone uses it, the whole cabin then smells like it. To finish on a positive note, the cabin comes with a large patio area with seating that is well lit at night and has a nice fire pit along with a picnic table. It is also only a 1/4 mile away from Indiana Beach, and there is a community pool that you are able to access along with a small convenience store offering firewood and fishing tackle.
