NATURE, WILDLIFE & LOCAL EXPERIENCES: Native birds are frequent visitors, including kookaburras, cockatoos, king parrots and a resident bowerbird who may visit the balcony or farm gates. Wildlife from the surrounding forest is often seen at dawn and dusk.
-If you enjoy bushwalking, you are at the start of the Walk into History, and just minutes from the Redwood Forest, La La Falls, Warburton Rail Trail, Rainforest Gallery, Mount Donna Buang and Warburton Splash Park.
-For road cyclists, mountain bike and trail bike riders, there are hundreds of kilometres of tracks throughout the Upper Yarra State Forest, with direct access from the front gate. We are affiliated with Ride Time and Warburton Adventure Co can assist with bike hire and other adventures. Secure bike storage is available on-site.
-Toboggans are provided for guests heading up to Mount Donna Buang in winter.
ACCESSIBILITY: -Small step to access the building -Five internal steps to access four bedrooms in the Lodge, all other rooms and bathrooms are located on the lower level with good wheelchair access. -Parking is level and is a large area, ideal for accessibility vehicles
LATE CHECK-OUT For guests wishing to relax a little longer, late checkout options are available by prior arrangement. $50ph for every hour after 10 am - subject to availability. Please enquire at the time of booking.
THINGS TO NOTE: To preserve the peaceful nature of the estate and the surrounding environment, we kindly ask guests to note the following:
- All children and infants must be included in guest numbers in line with council fire/safety requirements - This property is not suitable for parties or events - Quiet time STRICTLY applies after 9:00 pm - BBQs must be cleaned after use (cleaners do not clean BBQs- additional cleaning fees do apply $100)
PETS: Pets are welcome with conditions: - Owners are responsible for cleaning up after pets - No pets on carpets, rugs, furniture or in bedroom hallways - Pets must not be left unattended indoors - Excessive mess, fur or damage will incur additional cleaning fees. ($100 fine) ALL damage costs will be directly invoiced and will be required to be paid immediately.
LATE CHECK-OUT Late check-out until 12:00pm available at $50 per hour after 10:00am, subject to availability. Please request at time of booking.
The Main Lodge is yours and is semi-attached and adjacent to the other accommodation on the property `The Cottage`. You have a designated private fully fenced outdoor garden/area and parking designated parking and the remainder of the gardens and property is shared with other guests.
Set on 2.5 acres of property, you have plenty of space and designated areas for your own use and privacy.

We are in a quiet area just a few minutes from Warburton.
We have very quiet neighbours and everything is fairly private. We`re located directly on the Yarra River, here you can simply walk down the property and have your own private picnic and sitting area.
It is peaceful and away from the business of the town, yet very close by to attend all attractions.
We are also only a few minutes from the Redwoods Forrest by car.
There is a bus stop out the front of the property on the main road that heads back into Warburton and also out to the RedWoods Forrest.
Timetables are located on the bus stop itself or refer to the Public Transport Victoria website for more information.
The bus stop location is: 475 Woods Point Road, East Waburton. (bus stop name is- `Herbert Ave/Woods Point` - heading towards Warburton and `Hazelwood Road/Woods Point `- If heading out to the Redwoods Forrest/Reefon)
The last bus stop on the route is Whitegum Drive East Warburton
The bus does stop at Cement Creek Road - East Warburton for the RedWoods Forrest and it is then about a 10-15min walk into the reserve if walking from the bus stop. If driving, the RedWoods is 5 mins drive.
The closest train is located in Lilydale which will take you back to Melbourne CBD. It is a 1hr journey from Lilydale to Flinders Street Station. The bus from our property does go all the way to Lilydale and is approx 1hr journey. The trains generally connect directly with the buses.
There is an IGA, Chemist, Post Office, Pub, Bendigo Bank and ATM located in the main centre of town alongside a service station and many small shops and cafes. There is a medical centre in Warburton and Yarra Junction alongside a Safeway in Yarra Junction which is cheaper than IGA and has more items.
It is approx 15mins drive to Yarra Junction if you require a large shopping trip.

BUSHFIRE INFORMATION: Warburton is a forested, high-risk area during warmer months. Guests are required to read the Bushfire Emergency Booklet provided and download the VicEmergency app during October–March.
On Code Red/Catastrophic fire danger days, bookings may be cancelled and partially refunded. On Extreme fire danger days, early checkout may be required if conditions are deemed unsafe. Guest safety is always prioritised.
