Let's start with the positives. The villa is set in beautiful grounds with a huge pool. The bedrooms are good sizes and the living room is comfortable. In addition, the staff who work in the villa are absolutely wonderful. They were always on hand to help, were very friendly and were not intrusive.
Now to the negatives. First, the bedrooms are dated, not in as good shape as the pictures suggest and the bathrooms were not clean when we arrived. The shower pressure is poor and none of our rooms were cleaned throughout our stay. There were also two dogs around, one that was there at all times and one belonging to the owner. They are allowed to wee in the gardens, which is unpleasant.
However, the real issue with this place is the owner. In the months before, I sent numerous emails without response (9 in a row, over two and a half months, with no aknowledgment) so I organised my own catering, transport and excursions. This was clearly an issue for the owner - she attempted to charge 300 EUROS for the use of lights outside, at night and was incredibly abusive to not only my caterers but her own staff. She was screaming at them, very rude to me and my guests and generally just made our stay very unpleasant. We booked out the whole villa but were told on the second day that this did not include access to the kitchen (which we had used without issue the day before, prior to the owner finding out that outside caterers were used).
The owner visited the villa and would sit in the courtyard area with her dog for hours at a time, which made us uncomfortable and we could not feel like we could relax. She was very bossy, interrupting my day and instructing me to stay so we could discuss the caterers. This is when she also said we could not use the glasses, cutlery and plates because we had not paid for them. Eventually I talked her down, but it was very distressing during my birthday weekend away.
The check out process was equally chaotic. Two guests were checking out early (keeping in mind that 15 of us were still at the villa) and she refused to let them leave, saying she would stop them leaving Morocco. I was forced to deal with this at 7am, coming out to confirm I would pay the amounts they owed. On check out, we were each charged well over 100 euros per room, despite each person only taking a few waters and soft drinks from the fridge and having a few omelettes. Even after this, she kept "miraculously" finding more costs. Avoid the villa - not worth it
