« Volcano Village Lodge est un petit établissement bien placé, proche du parc national Volcano. Très au calme au cœur de la rain forest, nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Il dispose en plus d’un jacuzzi accessible facilement. Seules déceptions de notre côté : lors de notre arrivée une très gentille dame nous a informé que nous pouvions accéder à la réception pour venir se reposer, prendre un café, manger quelques snacks… sauf qu’elle n’est jamais ouverte. Nous y sommes allé à plusieurs...

« Two of the towels were not cleaned and still hanging behind the bathroom door. Some of the towels had stains on them. The property was ok but not super clean. It was just for one night so we were fine with it otherwise would not recommend staying in it for multiple days. The sofa bed was quite old. Definitely not worth $200+ per night. »

« I had no hot water for my 3 night stay. Cold water only. The owner said to check the circuit breaker. I did. That didn’t solve anything.I was really looking forward to a nice outdoor hot tub after hiking all day in the rain. The switch to turn on the hot tub jets wasn’t working. The owner said a previous renter broke the switch so I had no jets. The water was warm but tub was dirty.The light on kitchen counter was broken so there was no light to prepare anything to eat. »

« We were really looking forward to the hot tub and it was the main reason we booked this place. When we looked at it, it was cloudy and dirty. We later found out it was broken. We ended up not staying either of the two nights we booked here. It seems fair to get a some refund since the hot tub was broken. »

« Rick and Katy are straight forward to deal with, providing lots of insider information on out of the way experiences on The Big Island. The view from the common area where you can enjoy the healthy breakfast that Rick and Katy provide is peaceful. The veranda is a perfect place to watch the two goats playing in the yard. The room is very clean with a fridge to store perishables in. The bed is a nice place to relax and get a good night sleep to prepare for the next day's adventure. Lots of extra...
