« My two teen kids and I LOVED this place. It is beautiful and has a ton of character, we were so sad we o Lu got to stay for one night and really hope we can return someday. Hosts are exceptionally kind and interesting people, don’t miss a chance to chat with them a bit. I stayed at six places on my trip and this was definitely my favorite. Location is great too for walking into Kona town or getting to most other places n the island. »

« The house was a roomy older house, conveniently located 5 minutes from downtown Hilo. Overall, the house was terrific. The only drawback was the shower stall and showerhead. The shower flow was insufficient. A hand-held shower head would be better! »

« The place was super nice with very helpful owner. Beautiful inside and outside. The only thing that owner could do is advise people upstair to be more careful has the floor in wood bounce back on lower apartment and when you try to sleep it can be very dissapointing and specially when someone star is loundry at 7 in morning. »

We never tire of visiting Kilauea when we visit the Big Island and Jim's lodging is only about a mile from the entrance to Volcanoes National Park. « Overall great experience. Easy check in and good communication with property management. The bathroom is in need of updating, one set of faucets didn’t work and the shower head shoots water out the door. We couldn’t get the ceiling fan to work but didn’t really need it. The vertical blinds were not operational so we just left them open the whole time. We would stay here again! »
