Pleasantly surprised

Les + : The bed was comfortable bed. There were lots of pillows. The shower was good.
Les - : Mouldy bathroom ceiling. Have to drive miles along motorway just to be able to go in the other direction. Annoying.
Situation : King and Cushion pub good for food.

Functional Hotel, handy for M3

Les + : Spacious room. Lovely powerful shower.
Les - : It was quiet hot in the room at night when trying to sleep. Bathroom could do with some TLC and net at window was falling down.
Situation : Plenty of food outlets to eat at and shops on site.
Overall a good budet hotel, no frills but you get what you pay for. Staff very courteous and helpful. Hotel was quetier than I expected for a motoway service area.

Satisfactory room available at the last minute

There is no lift and we were on the first floor with heavy bags. Room was not prepared for four occupants (I.e. the spare child's bed had not been pulled out). Room and hotel both in some need of refurbishment. There was a generally tatty feel to it (and the bathroom ceiling was mouldy). Wine and beer available at reception, which is nice. Nearby Harry Ramsden does decent if pricey full English.

Disappointment on many levels..

Very disappointed that despite the description on Hotels.com there was not a refrigerator in the room. Told quite abruptly at the hotel that this was only in executive rooms. The fiasco of a fire alarm at 6.45am was also disappointing. I hate to think of the casualties if it was a real fire, staff poorly organised and guests poorly informed about what was going on.

Arrived at 2 in the morning. Pleasant staff. A bit hard to find as access from only one side of M3 westbound rooms clean. Food was in services. Overall served it's purpose well.

Typical Motel - tad expensive!

Typical motel. Had to eat from the fast food bars in the service station. Noisy location. Overpriced for just a room.

Not bad, you get what you pay for!

Not a bad place overall. We stayed in room 122 which was reasonably clean but for some reason there was a sock over the fire detector and the shower sprayed over the top of the curtain in the bathroom! friendly staff but just a bit dated! As I say, you get what you pay for..
