« Hôtel qui aurai besoin d'un bon gros coup de rafraichissement. Hôtel à quelques mètres de l'autoroute, donc très bruyant, surtout quand on doit ouvrir la fenêtre pour rafraichir la chambre (sans clim) en été. Hôtel au milieu de nulle part. »

« While a 10-15 minute walk from downtown, the scenery and location were gorgeous and quaint. The staff, the room, the breakfast, and the stay were just what we were looking for. We took the train to Durham, dropped our packs off at the inn, and spent the rest of the day walking around town and along the river. »

« Hotel was lovely, decent price as breakfast included. Easy check in/out, plenty of parking. We stayed there for the Sam Fender concert at St James Park, got an Uber eachway, 5-8 min drive. »

« Our room was beautiful. It had a king size bed and the en-suite bathroom was a good size. The only downside was that the toilet flush handle was broken but still worked. It could have done with better lighting in the bathroom as you couldn’t see in the mirror very well. The room was immaculately clean and had a sofa and tv with easy to connect to WiFi. Personally I struggled with comfort of the bed as I found it too soft but it was dressed with clean sheets and had extra pillows in the wardrobe....

« Déception pour la chambre : elle n’est pas récente mais en plus la propreté n’est pas optimale (toiles d’araignée au plafond, bêtes sur le sol, lumière HS). Et certaines choses sont à améliorer d’urgence : lavabo dans la chambre, porte qui donne sur la douche et les WC est complètement cassée. Rien à voir avec les photos. Ce qui sauve la note : l’amabilité et un accueil très chaleureux. Autre mauvais point : pas de restauration possible (ni dîner, ni petit déjeuner) En bref des prestations pas...

« Beautiful garden and room. The room was a good size with a large, comfy bed, great shower and fresh milk for tea and coffee. We ate dinner there, having established that there were options for a vegetarian who was also coeliac. I had a vegan but not GF wellington, which was lovely. Breakfast was also excellent, with a coeliac-friendly omelette with GF toast. It was all delicious, so thank you Ellerby Inn! The website said EV charging was available. We enquired at check-in and they said we...

« The oak tree inn was a good choice for a one night stay. The drinks were nice and the breakfast was excellent. Staff were friendly and attentive. The room was nice and clean. Tv remote was very slow and shower wasn't great. Bed was only a double and prefer king size but was fine for stop over stay »

« Auberge telle qu on aime en trouver: atmosphere british, echange spontane avec clentele, tres bonne ale au pub, patron tres accueuillant et serviable ( il nous a bien aide a affiner notre periple touristique avec prospectus), plats nombreux au choix, le tout pour un budget tres raisonnable. "I booked for two nights but left after the first night: I had not read the comments (alas), but you should know that the pub located on the ground floor of the hotel plays music until 23h!!! ... I add that the floor of the room was not very clean ... in short, a first bad experience with an expédia reservation ... nevertheless, I nuance because the very low price should have encouraged me to better reverse before booking. However, the staff is friendly..."

"Very nice hotel conveniently adjoining the Railway Station. Pleasant and helpful staff and an excellent English breakfast. The hotel was once rather grand and could do with a little modernising, but it is still comfortable."
