« Localisation très agréable quoiqu'un peu loin de Durham. Un personnel charmant et à l'écoute, un "english breakfest" copieux, la possibilité de manger sur place le soir et de profiter de l'ambiance "Pub" si britannique bref un endroit à recommander. Surtout ne pas chercher à entrer en voiture A Durham le "park and ride" est très bon marché et le bus vous dépose en plein centre ville (pour 2 £ par jour) »

« Was exactly what I needed, a place to stay for one night. Wasn't expecting ‘private bathroom’ to just be a sink in the room and a shared toilet but it was fine for one night. »

« Property was good. Room clean, comfy bed only issue was the indians next door smelt very strong and our window didnt close - room 2. Other then that ideal for a night stay »

« Stayed here on a whim, travel a lot with work and try to pick small independent places where I can, usually with a pub. Unfortunately, the pub was shut as it was a Monday, but I just crossed the road and went there for food and drinks so no problem. The room was beautiful, bright, very clean and very spacious. It looked newly decorated and done very tastefully, felt like I was staying in a stately home, not the local boozer! I mentioned to some locals I was working with that I was staying here...

« Es war einfach wunderbar. Sehr stilvoll eingerichtet, grosses und gepflegtes Zimmer und Bad mit grosser Dusche. Sehr viel Ablagefläche im Bad und wohlriechende Pflegeprodukte. Das Doppelbett war sehr, sehr bequem und das Hotel sehr ruhig, so dass ich wunderbar schlief. Das Frühstück konnte am Vortag ausgewählt werden. Das „english breakfast“ wurde dann frisch zubereitet und war einfach wunderbar. Der junge Mann sehr zuvorkommend und sehr motiviert und freundlich. Es hat mir sehr gut gefallen...

« Overall everything was good, our only issue was after being there for a few days we noticed the toaster was full of crumbs, obviously not been emptied for quite some time, and the oven tray had not been cleaned after it had been used. We hadn’t met the owner, so decided it was easier just to clean them both before using them. On the hole, everything else was excellent. There was no recycling facilities, which was quite a surprise, and also a slight disappointment. Everything else was above...

"I booked for two nights but left after the first night: I had not read the comments (alas), but you should know that the pub located on the ground floor of the hotel plays music until 23h!!! ... I add that the floor of the room was not very clean ... in short, a first bad experience with an expédia reservation ... nevertheless, I nuance because the very low price should have encouraged me to better reverse before booking. However, the staff is friendly..."

"Very nice hotel conveniently adjoining the Railway Station. Pleasant and helpful staff and an excellent English breakfast. The hotel was once rather grand and could do with a little modernising, but it is still comfortable."
