Nice hotel to stay at!

Publié le 12 nov. 2015
Les + : The continental breakfast was really good.
Situation : The location is a little off the highway, but not hard to get back on or off.
The front desk, the room, the continental breakfast and checking out was superb all the way. Best hotel my girl & I have stayed in in a long time.

Dirty and smelly. Would be better off torn down.

Publié le 17 oct. 2015
Les - : Everything.
We had the absolute worst experience at this hotel. In the first 24 hours of staying there they had us switch room 3 times. The first room smelled overwhelming like cigarette smoke, the carpet remnant was thrown down on the floor not attached to anything. Unfinished paint on the walls and just dirty. We complained and they moved us to room 2 which was less stinky but equally dirty. Early the next morning we were awakened by construction noises and loud men talking. I opened the door to a hall wall full of mattresses, chairs, power tools and a recliner in front of our door preventing us from leaving the building. We had been put in a "closed" area of the hotel that was being completely renovated. We obviously complained after unbaracating ourselves from our room. We were then on to room 3 that smelled like a dog kennel, missing half the mirror trim, broken toilet, no toilet paper and the most disgusting carpet I've ever seen. The next day we got a call from the front desk asking us if we had checked out and if not what room we were in. They didn't even know that we were still there. Because we had prepaid for the room or "rooms" we were unable to get a refund and couldnt afford to move hotels. This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had and I'm leaving out a lot of other details.

Hotel mit großen Zimmern

Publié le 17 oct. 2015

Great location

Publié le 9 oct. 2015
Les + : Location and Price.
Les - : Rooms are a little tattered. No cover plate on electrical outlet, headboard screwed to the wall, little things.
Situation : Close to beaches, mountains, and Humboldt State University. Minutes from downtown Arcata.
Great location, close to the freeway but quiet. Close to restaurants and shopping. A great stop for travelers passing through the area.

Ease of Access to both highway and town!

Publié le 6 oct. 2015
Les + : Location, price, and pet policy.
Les - : A refrigerator and a microwave would have been nice. Real cups for the coffee maker would be great (really, styrofoam?).
Situation : It is near Humboldt State University, and downtown Arcata. Old town Eureka isn't too far to the south, and the Redwood groves are not too far north.
The staff is nice, and the location is perfect. The facilities, um, not so great. The room was very clean, but had no table and only one chair. The bedspread had bleach spots on it, and a cigarette burn hole even though it was a non-smoking room. The plumbing was loud, but that was really the only noises we heard. We had our dog with us, and that was no problem at all. For the price, I was okay with it.

Jekyll and Hyde.

Publié le 25 sept. 2015
Les + : Easy
Les - : Breakfast
Situation : Questionable population all around.
I have been here 4 times in the past 3 months. Each times it is different. The breakfast is always the same, boring. Room 229 not good. Lower Kings are fine with added amenities. The freeway is loud. It is fine with cooler weather. It is ok for the comparative price.

Nice hotel close to Arcata

Publié le 23 sept. 2015
Les + : The hotel was easy to find; it was only a stone's throw away from the highway. Nonetheless, no noise from the highway reached us. We slept well!
Les - : An elevator for carrying luggage from the ground floor up to the first floor!
Situation : Arcata was a very interesting town. We arrived on the weekend and there was a great Farmers Market arranged.
Quality Inn was a pleasant hotel with friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed good breakfasts there, and the hotel location was close enough to Arcata town for an easy 5 minute drive.

horrible office staff

Publié le 7 sept. 2015
TV remote bolted down. Grime in shower. Huge burn hole in comforter in a non smoking room. White stains on bed skirt. Hot water never got truely hot. We asked to check in early and were told by office staff "absolutely not". Office staff were extremely rude during each interaction. I will never stay here again.

No-Quality Inn

Publié le 27 août 2015 sur Hotels
Staff good, the rest unacceptable: dirty rug, bedspread, musty-nasty smell in room/bathroom. Room dated, breakfast minimal and with flimsy plastic cutlery. Overpriced for what we got. Would never stay in such a place again. Better to camp on the side of the road. Neighborhood-setting industrial and creepy, too.
