Luxurious Mountain Lodge – Views, Hot Tub/Ping Pong – 5 Min from Purg

NOTE: 4WD/AWD required in winter (Thanksgiving through late March).

A magical getaway with amazing 36 ft floor-to-ceiling mountain views is just 5 minutes from Purgatory Ski Resort and located in a small gated community with private ponds and creek. The home was updated throughout in Fall of 2023 and includes a new kitchen, furnishings, patio furniture and original artwork to compliment the custom home.

The 4 bedroom, 6 bath, 6,000 sq. ft. property sits on 5 acres and boasts panoramic views of the Needles, Engineer and Spud Mountains in Mill Creek Estates. All bedrooms are ensuite with new beds and furnishings and a private balcony to take in the mountain views, Aspens and deer.

Each bedroom also has a smart TV with radiant heat bathroom floor. The basement living space features a wood-burning fireplace, heated stone floor, ping-pong table, arcade games, and large screen TV for movie night, game day and kids’ play space.

Surround sound stereo fills the home and large decks and outdoor eating spaces. The massive wood-burning fireplace puts out a roaring fire for the sitting room and the dining room.

Enjoy quiet evenings in the sunroom with a 2-story atrium that makes it seem like you’re sitting inside a snow globe in the snowy winter or in the middle of the forest in the summer and fall. Finish off your evening under the stars in the hot tub or by the outdoor firepit. Enjoy dinner at the outdoor dining gazebo and on the patio while the kids enjoy ping pong, movies and arcade games.

The home is ideal for those who want stars, quiet and peace with stunning views while also being minutes from skiing, hiking, sleigh rides, snowmobiling, ATVs, kayaking, horseback riding and more. Local favorite mountain eateries are nearby - The Nugget serves up live music, outdoor fires and great food and Olde Schoolhouse features pizza and calzones are a few minutes south on Hwy 550. Silverton is 25 minutes away, downtown Durango is 35 minutes away and the famous Million Dollar Highway Drive to Ouray is accessible just past our front door.

The home features Starlink WIFi with excellent internet speeds around 100mbs and 2 spaces are available in heated garage.

ATVs cannot be ridden on the property or in the neighborhood and the home is NOT pet friendly.

Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).

Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities.

Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time of the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes to stay dates, including changes that result in a shortened stay, are not permitted within 30 days of arrival, and any such changes will result in a penalty. Cancellations or changes that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.

This is a spectacular home that truly amazing. It was very well stocked and had plenty of amenities. We had a great time and will definitely be back for future family vacations. It is very private, secluded and very beautiful!

3 families with a 13yr,8 yr, 4yr and 2 yr. 10 total House was as described. Very clean. Kitchen was well stocked. Bed were very comfortable. Very nice TV/game room. Hot tub was great. We really enjoyed our time there. Wasn't ready to leave. Would definitely stay here again. Only negative is the outside needs a LITTLE maintenance.

House even better than the pictures. Property is secluded and private. Stayed here for a week with family for my mother's 80th birthday. Comfortable and great amenities. Had everything we needed to relax and enjoy each other when we weren't out on an adventure enjoying the area. Beautiful area and nice driving distance to things to do in either Durango or Silverton. Communication was great. Definitely recommend.

Perfect for our group of 10! Very (very!) large rooms, easy to gather and also to get alone time. Astoundingly beautiful views from every window., every deck. Well appointed with everything needed. Nice touches like towels at the ready for hot tub.

We recently stayed at this beautiful property for a family/friends ski trip. The house was stunning with spectacular views. Our favorite part was it was five minutes away from the ski resort. Great place to vacation with family and friends ☺️

Our personal experience should not reflect poorly on the overall quality of the house itself or the management team. Our visit was January 6-9, 2022. We arrived at the home at 5:30pm, and it was not clean. We called management and they explained that they were having an unusual number of flies that were getting into the homes and were also struggling with the cleaning staff. They were very apologetic and offered to send someone the next day to clean which we declined because we needed to clean it then so we would have a place to sleep plus we didn’t want to vacate the home the next day so someone could come clean again. They helped us locate a vacuum which was so full that it had almost no suction so we had to clean it out in order for it to work. From the number of flies that had accumulated on the floors, in the light fixtures, window seals, behind the beds and under the furniture, it was not cleaned before our arrival. The dryer was full of towels and the washing machine still had wet sheets in it, therefore we had to fold the towels and dry and fold the sheets before we could wash some bedding that had dead flies on them. Not a good way to start when you have to go in and clean a 6000 sq ft home that you were already charged to have cleaned. We were missing a few things and they did send someone to the home the next day with those items and refunded a portion of the cleaning fee that we were charged. Considering the cobwebs and dust in the home and the fact that we had to clean it, we should have been refunded the entire cleaning fee. It was definitely cleaner when we left than when we arrived. But the house is beautiful and incredibly spacious! We had 11 people and ample room to spread out! The hot tub was amazing and so appreciated at the end of the skiing days! The kitchen was well stocked with pans and utensils. The views were breathtaking and the double fireplace was fantastic! We enjoyed the ping pong table and chess as well. We understand that the current pandemic has placed a tremendous strain on maintaining employees but management was already aware of the fly problem and that homes were not being cleaned well. A simple email should have been sent ahead of arrival explaining the situation with the flies and what we may experience while we’re staying so we’re not shocked when we walk in. And if you’ve had problems with cleaning, management should always double check the home before guests arrive.

Overall experience was excellent. However, there is a MAJOR flie problem! There were dead flies, living flies, breakdancing flies, and swimming flies. You step on them in the bathroom, they bathe with you in the jacuzzi tub, they land in your cooking, and sometimes dive-bomb you while you’re sleeping. We have pictures and will happily provide if needed. Just ask via email or text. The snow plow was reasonably regular. However, when planning a stay at a home of this magnitude, both in price and quality, it seems like there should be better pre-information regarding this issue to help your tenants plan outings. While I appreciate plenty of hot water, it is either scalding hot or ice cold. It seems that many of the faucets in the bathrooms showers and in the main kitchen sink are in need of repair. Finally, we were unable to use the entire space outside. Due to the snow, the deck area was completely inaccessible. Thank you, Eric and Christa Borchers and Family.
