« Property was perfect - great location, great layout and very well equipped. Collecting the keys was very easy. Whole property was perfectly clean.The main area of the site with the shop, cafe, pub, pool, gym and tennis court is a short walk away The beach about 10 minutes away which was idealHighly recommended and will be back!! »

« Having stayed there for the second time this year and numerous occasions in the last 49 years , This stay was special the only downside for me is the stairs leading to the apartment, perhaps next time I should book the ground floor one as my wife has MS , apart from this it was a perfect stay . »

« Check in and locating the house we’re really easy with great arrival information from the owner. The house had everything we needed with lots of space. We were very comfortable and the private space to park at the top of the village was a great help. A fantastic location in the village. »

« Location was hard to find, had to ask someone in a local shop. It is not accessible and up cobbled steps. We had two dogs and a 6 month old in a pram so that was difficult to navigate. The yard space was okay to let the dogs out and there is a gate but it was always being left open by others so if you have dogs who like to run off, this is not good. The property itself - it did the job. It was somewhere to sleep however not somewhere I think would be comfortable to stay in all day or for...

« Great location for sure, and this is a wonderful location. But… the house was for sale and I wonder if this has impacted some of the cleaning (cobwebs, filthy microwave and rusting knives). The biggest issue was construction going on next door and not being made aware this was taking place in advance (otherwise we would have cancelled). Lots of scaffold over windows, and banging/music going on - this would have been in place for several days/weeks. Stayed here before and love this place but this...

« Really small cottage not really suited to 4 people, only one 2 seater sofa in living room, small bathroom, whole cottage could do with a freshen up, good location & comms from host & stay was really good. »

« Nice place, great location only problem was the double bed is like sleeping on the floor it’s rock hard and the other bed is two singles pushed together. A week before you go you will get a email asking for a fee for insurance cover which was very annoying »

« The property was very modern, clean and well presented and in the perfect position for exploring Whitby and the surrounding area. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was very well equiped. We would definitely stay again! »

« Cottage was ok but after booking through hotels.com I was contacted by Host & Stay and advised I had to pay an additional fee for a damage waiver. Alternatively I could pay a deposit but they take an admin fee so you don’t get the full amount back plus they state they may take 14 days to refund. »

« Very clean and beautifully furnished. Handy for getting to all parts of Whitby.Would certainly recommend and return.The only negative, free parking in the allowed zones was impossible with the roads full of cars already. We needed to pay at the car park for the duration of our stay. About a 5 - 10 min walk away. »
