« The property itself is lovely. Unfortunately the heating broke while we were there meaning the temperature inside the cottage dropped to 10 degrees. Despite best efforts to get someone to sort this out, and a promise of someone coming out to address the issue with the boiler, nobody arrived. Consequently the trip was very disappointing and the support from the holiday company less than satisfactory. Apparently they are still waiting to hear back from the owner but I don't hold out much hope of...

« High Oaks Grange is a beautiful property with a very high standard of fittings. We had everything we needed for a wonderful stay with old friends. There were plenty of things to do locally and we loved the area. One highlight was a meal cooked for us in the Grange by Chef Dan Graham. « The house is situated in a lovely area. The host was pleasant and left a useful ‘welcome basket’ and plenty of linen etc. The house was clean, however it was generally ‘dated / tired’ and cluttered; with an overgrown garden. A shame there was no way of watching live tv (particularly in the week of the Queen dying) Upstairs has creaky floorboards and doors that drag on carpets. The beds were comfortable but the master bedroom was cramped with oversized furniture and there was no evidence of twin...
