« This was a lovely sized cabin and perfect for our stay. However, there are quite a few minor maintenance issues which could easily be fixed and/or addressed by the owner. I spoke with someone who works with the cabins and was told the issues I told him of had been reported to the owner on several occasions but nothing was being done about it.Aside from these (a competent handyman would have them all fixed in a morning) it was a lovely cabin. « Very spacious and clean. Nicely decored and homely. Everything you need is there and the host is very good and responsive to queries. The lodge is situated on a nice quiet camp site and has its own single carspace right outside. Basic toiletries (soap and showergel) were provided as were towels and bedding. tea, coffee and sugar were also there and the host provided a small pint of milk and a small pack of biscuits on arrival. « Served its purpose for a one night stop over, basic and a bit tired, stains on sofa and carpet, only one double sofa which sank when you sat on it so the third person had to sit on a hard dining chair. Basic utensils, no wine glasses but did have a gravy boat 😁 comfortable beds, met by the pleasant host, all in all fine »

« We absolutely loved our break away and will definitely be visiting again The hosts had thought of everything. A lovely welcome package including a bottle of wine and chocolate as well as milk and bread. Very thoughtful. The host greeted us when we arrived and was very friendly. Our 15month old had just learnt to walk and loved the spacious lodge to run around in. He also loved being able to see the cows from the room he slept in! Thank you so much »

« We were made very welcome by the owner Graham, everything supplied in the welcome pack, even dishwasher and washing tablets. Beautiful clean lodge with amazing views and very private. Hot tub is gorgeous after a long day of walking. Plenty of local walks but poorly sign posted through fields if you didn’t want to walk on the lanes or busy roads. Would probably drive to a location and walk rather than trek from lodge when we return which we are already planning for winter. »

"Rooms a bit dates and nothing special at all for the price. Better options nearby. I have a habit of staying here regularly when in Sheffield on business as I have done so for years...and have stuck with it because of on-site parking and ease of access etc. However, the parking is now managed via a 3rd party and if you leave the car park for an hour and come back it's a pain, as there are just 2 payment rates (£12 day rate/£18 overnight). There is a way around it by explaining to reception each time but I just found it badly managed and impractical. Executive rooms are basically standard rooms with a coffee machine and a bathrobe. Breakfast is good. Shop nextdoor is handy, and a good range of restaurants nearby"
