« What a beautiful, gem of a place. Farm buildings that have been converted into self contained apartments. Yes we could have stayed in a soulless Premier inn with noisy guests coming in from the pub at 2am, but we wanted something with character, close to town and a home from home. Ormskirk and Southport are nearby. Its a paradise for cyclists, hikers and there's even a canal close by for kayakers and Suppers. We will definitely back to stay here! »

« Couldn’t ask for more from the property or the hosts! Property was well equipped, we enjoyed the ‘proper coffee’ and the banana bread on arrival was delicious. Andy and Crystal were there to meet us and gave us some fantastic local recommendations. Ate at the very chilled, Ginger Tiger (wine bar with noodles) and a delicious brunch at The Honest John. We had originally planned to visit Morning Glory for brunch but sadly closed due to Christmas opening hours. Will have to try there next time!...

« DO NOT STAY HERE ! All false information - we have been completely misled . There is no local amenities. There isn’t any local eating establishments as advertised within walking distance or even by car.We drove 2 hours to get to the property - we are a family of walkers so like to take our holidays in areas of beauty. So we choose property’s that are a bit out of the way but that which still have local shops and eateries and local pubs as we like to eat out so I can choose not to cook. Also so...

« Acorn Cottage was the perfect choice. Warm and cosy and it is in a delightful setting with fabulous views to the front and perfectly located for many of Yorkshire attractions such as Grassington and Kettlewell. I had a delightful stay and was sorry to leave. The cottage was spotlessly clean and has all that you would require in facilities for a perfect and restful stay. Susanne and Peter were most welcoming and a pleasure to chat with. They both assisted me above and beyond when I had a problem...
