« Such a nice place to stay. Peaceful with lovely views. A short drive to pubs & shops. We were made to feel very welcome and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area followed by some cozy nights. The Christmas decorations were a lovely touch. We'll be back! »

« Everything was spotless! Jayne left great instructions and information. Tea, coffee and biscuits were a lovely touch, as well as the hot tub! Will definitely be back with family. »

« Judy was an excellent host! The property was in a great location, clean, and as described. Would absolutely stay again if the chance arose! »

« Chestnut Lodge is a fantastic place to stay. The property is beautifully maintained—spotlessly clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully presented throughout. It’s in an excellent location, making it easy to explore the surrounding area while still offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. What really stood out was the hospitality. The host was welcoming, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. It’s clear a lot of care goes into making guests feel at home.I wouldn’t...

« Excellent location, fantastic friendly location. 3 pubs, fish shop, doctors, dentist, Indian & Chinese restaurant, pharmacy, co-op store, and superb coffee shop dog friendly.Fantastic walks and canals. Just be warned unless you're with EE there is no mobile connection. »

« Little tired creaky floor boards, doors tight and hard to close without banging, ideal for parties. Conditions reflected in price. »

« We had a lovely break at The Warren. The accommodation is modern and luxurious, the setting is very peaceful, and the hot tub is wonderful. »

« The property itself was great. It’s a beautiful home in a great area. The Cow Pub down the street was so fun. They are demolishing a building right behind the property and it was loud and full of construction people starting at 7:30-8:00 am who blocked the driveway with heavy equipment. It was also difficult to communicate the host because they communicate outside the VRBO system so you have to set up another account. Even then most communication seems AI generated and not really helpful. »

« On arrival we were able to enter the property easily and found a large spacious house according to the listing. However, on looking for cups to make tea we saw that cups, glasses and crockery were dirty and so we ran the dishwasher soon after arriving. We also found dirty roasting pans in two of the ovens. One of the frying pans was extremely rusty and should have been disposed of long ago. The property was clean overall except for the utility room which had very grimy work surfaces. There was...
