« Great venue to meet up with family. Excellent location overlooking the beach/sea within easy walking distance of a couple of good restaurants. This was a return visit which we thoroughly enjoyed. Whitley Bay sea front promenade however is undergoing a transformative update causing disruption to traffic in the immediate area including directly outside the property. This did not affect our visit apart from having to navigate the new one way traffic system on our arrival. »

« We booked the property to celebrate my father in laws 80th birthday so there were lots of people ranging from 2 months old to 102 years old! The house itself is fab and the accommodation on offer was great. Location is excellent being near Bolam Lake with some good walks. We had a few teething problems in terms of heating and some supplies but all in all had a good stay »

« Great stay. Easy access to everything we wanted to see. Did not walk to town but drove with ample parking in town if your driving. Overall a good stay. »

« the overall property was well laid out and wanted for nothing certainly kitchen wise. would have benefited from an extra toilet either up the stairs or down the stairs. There was one outside in the back yard but none of us ventured out to use that one. The surrounding area was great for the dogs. Miles of golden sands. a few don't allow dogs but these tend to be in the towns, so watch out for those. Overall a great stay. »

« We had a lovely stay. The 'cottage' was well equipped and ideal for the two of us. The house was spotless and very easy to keep clean & tidy. Though a little further from Durham city than we expected, the buses ran regularly from the main road a short walk away. As it was near the top of the hill, walking back from Durham would have been very hard! We had left the car at home, but found the buses to be excellent - on time and going to all the places we wanted to visit. Thank you. »

« We were five 67 year old school friends looking for comfortable, quality accommodation for the weekend. The photos of the property are old and extremely misleading, and bear no resemblance to the actual property as it is today.The property is extremely tired and in need of work in many areas to bring it up to standard.
