L'appartement a été refait et équipé récemment, l'ameublement est chaleureux, les équipements tout à fait pratiques. Mais ce que nous avons le plus apprécié est le calme parfait du lieu, en pleine campagne mais néanmoins pratique et bien situé pour visiter ce coin d'Angleterre. Un grand merci à nos hôtes ! »

« We simply love Stanley’s place. Everything was perfect to us : the books, the house nicely decorated, the location (near from shops and beautiful villages), the walks everywhere, the lovely garden. It was the perfect size for the 3 of us. Stanley provided many wonderful recommandations for pubs, walks, sightseeings. His neighbors are very friendly. It’s like visiting a friend’s house with everything you need, and the feeling of being truly welcomed. We will definitely come back! »

« Lovely little lodge with lots of sweet extra touches like fairy lights, a cosy fireplace and outdoor bath. The fully enclosed, large garden is ideal for dogs and children, with beautiful views from every angle. Lovely to see horses and cows so close. Jon is an excellent and very friendly host. « Si l'environnement immédiat n'a pas particulièrement de charme, la maison de Merv présente beaucoup d'avantages. Deux super-marchés à 5mn à pieds. Un parking gratuit devant la maison. Et surtout pour les touristes que nous sommes, un fantastique emplacement. Qu'on en juge : à moins d'une demi-heure, Stonehenge, Stourhead, Longleat , Montacute .... dans des paysages merveilleusement préservés. Le confort d'une maison où rien ne manque puisqu'il s'agit de l'habitation habituelle du propriétaire...

« nice and cozy house. cottage is right on the busy road, outside you can hear the traffic. The kitchen is fully equipped. oven with ceramic hob, fridge with large freezer, microwave, toaster, dolce gusto coffee machine and dishwasher. unfortunately we had the misfortune that the refrigerator broke, it was solved well by the landlord. « I booked this house for my hen do and it was beyond amazing! The house is huge with so much character and more than enough space for 18 adults. The kitchen had everything we needed and the dining room/bar space were used the most. The Dining Room also managed to fit all 18 of us doing a yoga and meditation workshop! « If you are looking for a beautiful, quiet and clean place to stay in the heart of the Dorset countryside with plenty of room, set up for walkers yet perfect for others, this is the place. We loved the easy access to a variety of places to visit and eat, the copious hot water, streaming tv ( so we could introduce my sister and husband to our favourite shows), our friendly hosts, some home cooked meals and the babbling brook at the end of the garden. »

« Very nice indeed. The only slight negative was the steep staircase that would need to be navigated from bedroom 3 and 2 upstairs if the bathroom was needed in the night. We had 2 small children who could use the master bedroom so ok. Otherwise very comfortable and well stocked. But I was worried about the Aga but found there was an electric oven as well. »
