« My family and I had a lovely stay. The pool was naturally the highlight especially for our 12 year old who never wanted to get out. It was so much bigger than we expected. The Cottage itself was nice and cool all week despite the heat wave and clean and comfortable throughout. The nearby walks were all breathtaking with some amazing views on top of Thorpe Cloud. We are definitely going to book again. »

« The cottage is small but adequate for 2 people. Stairs to the bedroom are narrow and steep. A little bit challenging to bring suitcases to 2nd floor. Great central location, very quiet at night »

« The property was perfect and met all our needs. When we arrived we were greeted with a homemade lemon drizzle cake and freshly baked bread which was an absolute treat. Hathersage has lots of amenities including plenty of places to eat. There were lots of local walks including up to stanage edge. I would recommend getting a train to Edale if you plan to walk up Kinder Scout, saves fighting for a parking space. A lovely house in a beautiful location, can’t recommend it enough. »

« The plus side: Nice clean cottage, welcome basket with fresh bread, haribo sweets, wine. Flowers on table, tea, coffee, sugar and even treats for the dog. Sky/netflix. Bed very comfy. Nice white towels. Good communication from owner. 2 local pubs- the Nelson ...no food gd beer. Rising sun, pub grub. Both friendly pubs. negative side: Right on a very busy,noisy road. We could not work out why so many lorries etc cut through there. We did sort of get used to the noise except early...
