« Nous avons énormément apprécié ce séjour dans cet hôtel SPA historique de la merveilleuse ville de Buxton. Tout était parfait. La chambre était très confortable, très bien équipée. La partie SPA est très vaste avec 3 bassins dont un a un accès extérieur, 3 saunas différents, un haman. Enfin le petit déjeuner continental et/ou anglais est excellent. Nous recommandons fortement cet établissement. »

« Let's start with the positive. Fantastic location close to pubs & restaurants Bed comfortable. Very disappointed, the hotel was very run down & tired. Staff were not welcoming and lacked enthusiasm. Buffet breakfast very average. Parking was difficult, You can purchase a 24 hr parking pass. But a parking space is not guaranteed if you decide to go visit the surrounding areas. Dog friendly at a cost of £20 a night, front door locked at 11pm. Sadly, we checked out early. Not recommended. »

« We've stayed at the Bike and Boot on many occasions and this stay did not disappoint. The hotel and location is perfect for a stay in the national park and the staff go ut of their way to make your stay enjoyable. »

« The hotel it's self was lovely traditional windows and front arched doors. Free parking. It was lovely and clean. Nice small cosy room with new bathroom - excellent lovely and clean! The hotel was only about 1/4 hours walk into Matlock bath. There were plenty of pubs and restaurants. Buses were frequent if you needed one. We spent the afternoon in Matlock bath then walked back to hotel which had got a bar and curry restuarant. Excellent meal! Didn't have to go out again. Staff were lovely...

« Lovely location for walking the Peak District. Also ideal as a stop over if heading further, especially if you have an electric car as they have a charger for a reasonable fee. Nice touch is the packed lunch included in the room rate every day. »

« On our arrival we were met by the delightful owner who made us feel very welcome. She was also a source of information which proved extremely beneficial. Our room was part of the converted stable block which was fine apart from the small windows which made the room dark and claustrophobic. Had we stayed longer then I would of asked to be moved. The bathroom was impressive which consisted of both shower and slipper bath. Food good served by young staff who looked after all our needs really...

« Will not be returning, staff not helpful at all, dog friendly but couldn’t even let the dog have a sausage at breakfast as they had ran out, they had also ran out of biscuits for the room, garden peas and orange juice. Not a cheap nights stay so these things should not be running out!! Best staff were the morning we were leaving, had they had been on all weekend it would have made it a more pleasant stay »

« I really enjoyed my stay here. Its perfect if you are working away etc. Spacious accommodation with a nice shower and you can park right outside your chalet. I had a great night's sleep. No complaints »
