« Worth the money »

« Very small accommodation for a family of three. Pics online do not adequately represent the ‘stables’ but mainly show the other units which are bigger. For the price we paid (£102.50 for the night) I would say it’s massively over priced. Total accommodation was probably half the size of an Ibis budget room but double the price. Beds were comfortable and location was good. Outside area could have been tidier and again not suitably represented in the pics . Also directly next to a busy railway...

« Nous avons passé un très bon séjour. Effectivement le paysage est idyllique. La location est très confortable, agréable et bien équipée (lave vaisselle, lave linge, micro-onde, 2 salles de bain...). Un peu plus de vaisselle (assiettes, couverts, saladier) aurait été parfait étant donné qu'il y a un lave vaisselle :) Nous recommandons cette location. »

« Never received the check in details 24 hours before so couldn’t risk taking the family and I had to do a 5 hour round trip to go get them, we didn’t have any hot water for the first 24 hours. The mattress in the main bedroom was the most uncomfortable bed we have ever slept on and after the first night slept in the lounge, also there isn’t a table so they provide 4/5 small tables to eat off but 1 of these had 2 missing legs and another’s legs were about to fall off. « We recently stayed at this beautiful lakeside lodge and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The location is stunning, right on the waterfront with fantastic views and a peaceful atmosphere. One of the highlights was the range of water sports available, which made the stay even more enjoyable and gave us plenty to do during the day. « We had a wonderful last minute one night stay at Olive House for a quick getaway. The place is spotless, clearly it’s recently been renovated to a high standard. The room was comfortable, spacious, clean and well equipped. Should we be back in Ambleside we will certainly book again. Location is also perfect and although the property does not have dedicated parking there are plenty of overnight options very close by. »
