« The room was very dated, furniture had numerous marks, one outlet did not work in the room. 100+ USD for a three-hour early check-in was charged, definitely not worth it. Sub-par customer service for a sub-par hotel. There are much nicer options in Astana for a similar price point, so I'd advise anyone against the Sheraton. »

« The Plaza Hotel is a decent place to stay in Almaty. The rooms are clean, well equipped and comfortable. The breakfast is good but not amazing but as it’s a buffet I’m sure there’s plenty there to satisfy everyone. It’s not the most central hotel but the area around is safe and the river makes orientating yourself in the city quite easy. Get Yandex Go the ex-Soviet equivalent of Uber and getting around costs next to nothing and is very quick and efficient. Would I stay here again? Absolutely!...
