Wonderful facility if a little out of the way

Les + : The hotel property and grounds are meticulously maintained and manicured. The staff is very friendly, nice, and helpful.
Les - : Please be aware that there is a 16% resort tax on ANY purchases made at the hotel restaurants.
Situation : There are activities on the property including tennis and golf. There is nothing else nearby.
The Santa Barbara Beach Resort in Curacao is one of those places that actually is BETTER than what the pictures from the property present. The grounds are pristine, the staff (in all areas) are unfailingly polite, helpful, and friendly, and the rooms are very nicely appointed and clean! In terms of any kind of concern one might have in that regard, you can let those concerns dissolve! There are a couple of important pieces of information that might be useful to travelers who are deciding on a location to vacation in Curacao. First, this resort is at the far east of the island. It is far from almost everything. If you are OK with going from the airport to the hotel and staying there to just relax, then that is not a concern. If , however, you want to see more of the island, you may want to reconsider. Second, if you are expecting a resort where you can hear the waves crashing on the shore from your hotel room, this is not it. There are actually two beach areas. The first area (which is far enough from the property that you cannot hear the waves) has the typical ocean waves; however, there is no swimming in this area because it is very rocky. While you can walk along this beach, you cannot at all walk in it. The second beach runs parallel to this one and some rooms are close to this beach; however, there are no waves at all. THere is a long pier and a shallow water, which is great for families with small children, but will not give yoiu the 'ocean sound' from your room.

mooi hotel verwijderd van de bewoonde wereld.....

Publié le 22 juil. 2016
mooi hotel, lekker strand.

Beautiful Hotel with View

Publié le 13 juin 2016
Les + : It's beautiful with a breathtaking view. The staff were friendly and always helpful. It was quiet and peaceful at nights.
Les - : The food at the restaurant and there NEED to be an airport shuttle and taxis available nearby.
Situation : There's nothing nearby its 30-40 mins away from any activity or other resorts
The hotel is beautiful, absolutely breathtaking and the staff are so friendly and helpful. It was truly a peaceful experience. The only downside was the restaurants at the resort, they weren't the best and were super overpriced. There was no airport shuttle which is advertised on the expedia.com and the hotel is an hour away from the airport or city so we ended up spending a lot in taxi fare $60-$70 each way to go get real local food or to enjoy some site seeing. The resort is super secluded so if that's what you want and like then this place is for you. But if you're into the night life or want to exprience Cuaraco then stay somewhere else. The Bartender and staff at Splash and Shore were the Best when it came to service I just wish the food was as good. The pizza however at the far end was pretty good but we couldn't eat pizza every day (sad face). Anyways besides those few minor set backs it was an amazing trip.
