Mountain lodge w/ panoramic views from hot tub

Whether you're on an individual journey, sharing laughs with friends, or enjoying a family getaway, come experience the breathtaking panoramic mountain views to the east and valley views to the west of our mountain lodge. Nestled at the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo mountains, our lodge is a convenient 5-minute drive from town and offers a centralized location to the diverse array of spiritual centers. The Great Sand Dunes, nearby hot springs, hiking, and other outdoor activities await you.

The Purple Sage Lodge sits on over 1 acre with no neighbors on adjacent lots for a serene setting. Sip your morning coffee or tea (or both!?) on the front patio as the sun rises over Challenger Peak or the back deck overlooking the San Luis Valley. Enjoy a brisk cool evening sitting around the fire pit and patio heat lamp, roasting marshmallows or grilling your favorite food while being warm and toasty. A Keurig machine for those who want a single cup, and Cuisinart for larger parties compliment a well-supplied coffee and tea bar. Feel at home in our fully equipped kitchen, which includes spices and other basic staples for your culinary cooking delights. A water purification system is installed to allow purified water for healthy drinking and cooking. The living room offers a cozy and tight knit atmosphere with a corner wood fireplace, books to read, and board games to choose from.

The Blanca Overlook master suite is a uniquely geometric design with a private balcony that offers a stunning panoramic view of the San Luis Valley. Enjoy a restful night's sleep on a memory foam king-sized bed. The Sangre Sunrise is a charming room with a memory foam queen bed. Movie posters from some of the most iconic flicks dress out the walls of this spacious room. The Rocky Badger room has an adventurous feel. Looking east, you see Challenger Peak which rises a mighty 14,087 feet, one of the ten Sangre de Cristo "14ers". The room comes with a memory foam twin bed. Automotive art combines with Colorado's most photographed spots to dress the walls of the colorful Rocky Badger room. The futon in the living area converts into a queen sized bed to allow for additional sleeping.

Never miss your favorite team's sporting event or TV show as each room is fitted with a Smart TV. Direct TV is provided along with streaming service capabilities such as Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, etc. A private work space allows you to bring your work with you.

Perfect

We came to hike and visit the sand dunes but the weather didn’t cooperate so we spent a lot of time at the property soaking in the hot tub, relaxing, and just enjoying life. Everything we needed was there, plus extras. Great place in an interesting area.

Last chance summer

The property was great. Our stay was great. The property was very well taken care of except for a few minor details that were easily fixed. The hot tub at night was fantastic, great for star gazing. They weren't kidding when they say fully stocked kitchen. We enjoyed Hooper's pool and the boys went dirt bike riding. Everyone had a great time. We will definitely be back but next time maybe without the kids.

Amazing Welcoming Mountain house

My family and I had a great time at this home. Our kids loved it as well. We went to the Alligator Farm and Sand Dunes. What a pleasant time we all had. The Host was excellent by quickly responding our questions. The home is a perfect size for a family of 5. He thought if everything you dont lack nothing. Thank you so much!

Awesome, well stocked home, slightly remote

The home was great, as was the host! Very well stocked (from condiments to kitchen supplies to extra towels and blankets), fun games, nice hot tub, great views, and very easy process overall. Be aware that VRBO lists the place as much closer to the sand dunes than it really is! It was about a 55 minute drive each way which is more than we expected. But the house was so comfortable that we didn't mind. I also recommend you shop before getting there, because there aren't many options for food or shopping and the ones that are there were mostly closed during our stay, likely because it was a long holiday weekend. We were prepared so wasn't a big deal, but wanted to share.

Best Mother's Day Ever!

We spent a glorious extended weekend in this beautiful cabin in the scenic mountains located just outside of Crestone. We hiked the Great Sand Dunes on our second and and enjoyed a nice fire, wine, and the hot tub that night. The next day, the girls and i enjoyed a vigorous two mile hike right there around the cabin. Beautiful and restorative, i would definitely visit this location again. Kudos to the hosts!!

Beautiful house

My partner and I spent the weekend here. The kitchen was great for cooking, the hot tub was perfect, we really enjoyed having fires in the outdoor fire pit and the indoor fireplace. Sunsets and stargazing were lovely. We drove partway, then walked a couple miles to theTashi Gomang Stupa (highly recommend). Appreciated the cleanliness of the house, the marshmallows for roasting, and the good communication.

A night in Crestone

The four of us couldn’t have asked for a lovelier and more comfortable setting for an intimate gathering to celebrate the life of a dear friend who had just passed. Everything, including a sunset, was gracefully provided for us.

Beautiful view and a beautiful place

We wanted to show some out of town people what Colorado could be like, and this trip dod not disappoint! We loved the house. Great view, close to lots of great nature. The house itself is very comfortable and I've never stayed somewhere so well stocked w pantry items. Ros was super easy to communicate with as well. Highly recommend!

Great Get Away

Stayed here with two of my best friends and their daughters for a weekend getaway to Crestone. We loved the location as it was easy to find. The house was so clean, charming, comfortable and welcoming. So many comforts of home! The Host was extremely responsive. We had a great weekend away!
