The Callaway Plantation is an open-air museum featuring several historic houses and other structures that is located in Washington, Georgia, U.S.A. The site was formerly a working plantation, owned by a family named Callaway since at least 1785. In its heyday, the plantation was 3,000 acres in size.

« This is our 3rd time at the hobbit house & we will continue coming. It is the perfect getaway for my wife & I, & our dog Cleo. « My family and I had the pleasure of staying at this charming lake house. The home was large, and the hardwood floors were beautiful. The backyard was PERFECT for small kids (and our dogs) to play! Lots of room to explore safely! The walk to the lake is probably about .6 miles away with a few hills, so keep that in mind. But it is a beautiful walk. I am still wearing my badge of honor scrapped knee lol. Once you get to the lake, the view was absolutely breathtaking. It was so much fun to swim in...

« Cute little cabin in the middle of nowhere and had everything we needed to get away from the world. We especially enjoyed the outdoor area where we cooked on the grill and had a nice fire each night. I've never seen so many stars!!! Nice trails to take a walk through the woods. « This property could not have been more professionally presented! The homesite is spectacular and the grounds were meticulously maintained. The inside of the home was spotless and everything in cupboards and drawers could not have been better organized. If we have the opportunity again next year for this group.
