One of the most unique and fragile landscapes in the Great Lakes region, Chimney Bluffs is a geologic curiosity located about an hour from Rochester, NY. My family and I have enjoyed visits to this place for years, and this visit took place on an uncannily warm April day (82 degrees!!) The stoic shale and mud cliffs rise up above the Lake Ontario shore, making for great hikes and photo opportunities. I recommend a visit as soon as possible, as wind and water erosion of the bluffs is happening at a rapid pace.

« This is a nice, cozy property. Great location near many wineries. Close enough for a day trip to waterfalls. It's pet friendly, which was great for our 2 small dogs. The beds are very comfortable. There was plenty of space for the 6 of us to eat a meal or play games around the large dinning room table. The kitchen was well stocked and great for making pizzas and cooking breakfast. "The overall amenities were excellent, and I truly appreciated the quality of the stay. However, I was disappointed by the amount of waste at the breakfast buffet. Disposable plates and individually wrapped glasses, all ending up in the trash, feel out of step with today’s sustainability standards. This practice alone makes me question whether I would return. Thank you."
