« What a slice of heaven nestled in Banner Elk! From the impeccable decor, the history, the treat basket, and the little farm with animals- these owners have thought of everything. We even got a personal visit to make sure we were prepared for inclement weather. One of the best places we have ever stayed. Highly recommend. We will be back! »

« Great place to stay! We loved the house and the privacy. We brought our dogs, and they had a blast running and playing in the yard. We cooked all meals at the house. Pots and pans, cookie sheets, some spices, and cooking oil and spray in case you need it. The beds are comfy, there are extra blankets and towels, and a bunch of games are also provided. We would definitely stay again. »

« This house is so charming! We were so appreciative of the kids toys left out for our children to see first thing as they walked in. Our older kids thought the house was so cool! The house was also so clean which we really appreciated as we have twins who are 11 months old and still crawling. This was the perfect house for our short trip! »

« This was a great place for living the pioneer lifestyle and learning firsthand the challenges, realities, and benefits of slowing down to non-electric and non-refrigeration times. The facility was as advertised and the host Walton was very helpful but not intrusive. If you are interested in helping around the farm, be sure to ask. There's always plenty to do. Great do-it-yourself experience. »
