« We had a very easy and quick check-in with a friendly desk clerk and found the elevators, hallways, and our room to be new/updated and clean. The breakfast provided had a variety of hot and cold items- something for everyone. The lady who was serving and cleaning up was friendly, courteous and helpful. »

« Room was clean and didn’t feel cramped. My spouse didn’t get to enjoy the free breakfast which was a reason for choosing this hotel so that he could eat before work. For some reason there was a delay and he had to leave for work before they opened it up. »

« I loved my stay at The 1850. It was super clean, the bed was comfortable, and there were some really sweet, personal touches. It's right downtown Boone so it's easy to walk to everything. Daniel and the Dog is a great little bar with delicious food too. The staff was responsive and parking was easy. I look forward to staying there again! »

« On the main drag, 1/2 mi from US221 S toward Asheville, about a mile from US441 east to the NC piedmont. I thought the Rhodes was great. Loved the way the room was trimmed out, suited me perfectly. You gotta want something a little different to enjoy the place; some will find the hiker chic a tad underwhelming. Thought the lobby was wonderful, the bar and restaurant look nice, didn't get a chance to eat there. Somebody took an old motor lodge from the postwar boom and updated it very well....
