Hopson Loft is what it is. It’s quirky, it’s characterful, it is whacky. The whole place is an old cotton gin and along with the Shack Up Inn offers you a cornucopia of rust and vintage. For a photographer like me it is a dream but for someone like my wife, who rightly expects cleanliness, it was a nightmare. There is virtually no personal contact. You let yourself in with the key safe and hang it back when you leave. The only reason we spoke to anyone was because our wash basin had no plug. I hope I am allowed to post photos.

Our experience was great! Our loft apt was fantastic! We would have liked twin beds in one of the rooms, but it was not a problem. We totally enjoyed our stay. We loved the grounds and all of the memorabilia and antiques everywhere. Thank you! We also had a fantastic time in town. We went to Ground Zero and then on Sunday we went to a Blues Brunch at a great bar/restaurant and saw Robert Kimbrough. It was fantastic and the food was great.

Nice character

This is basically a cabin, not a hotel room. It had awesome charm and character and was quite comfortable for a converted plantation house. No amenities, but had a full kitchen. Just a nice place to stay for the history.
