Please note that the pre-authorisation hold, advised in both reservation confirmation documentation and arrival paperwork, is not a charge, rather it's a block against your credit or debit card, of which the hotel automatically advises the financial institution upon departure, that your account has been settled, and the block on the funds can be lifted. This is common industry practice, to cover incidentals such as mini-bar, Quest Cheltenham policy is to hold 100 from a credit card or 250 from a debit card. The team is also always on hand, including outside reception hours; with a 24 x 7 manager on-call, to assist with any queries on concerns you may have. As conveyed by the front office team upon time of booking, and outlined on the third party website in which the reservation was made, we have arrival criteria that must be adhered too.
