Cabane en rondins indĂ©pendante en zone rurale, Ă  3 km du village de Hethersgill, avec une seule banque pour la pĂȘche, la cabane est ouverte avec un lit double sur le pont dormant
et 2 canapés-lits en bas, il y a une salle de douche avec WC et lavabo,
La tĂ©lĂ©vision et le lecteur DVD, la literie, les serviettes, les bĂ»ches et le charbon sont fournis, un barbecue est Ă  votre disposition, nous sommes Ă  19 km du centre de Carlisle et Gretna Green, le mur d’Hadrian n’est pas trĂšs loin et nous sommes Ă  quelques minutes en voiture des pubs locaux de la rĂ©gion,
Vous pouvez donc passer un bon moment de détente dans la cabine ou passer du temps à visiter des lieux
dans les lacs du nord ou Scottish Borders

No Hot Water plus safety issues

We booked the Lyn Cabin for 2 weeks in June . When we arrived there was no hot water . Host said they would get it sorted straight away but after 6 hours of them lying to us about a workman coming to fix it we realised what a incompetent dishonest host they were , I believe they knew it was a broken boiler from the offset and didn’t give a dam about us they are very bad mannered host to say the least we will never recommend these to any person the cabin had broken windows to that would not shut and were totally insecure the bathroom door handle was coming off to there was no bedding for the sofa beds either and the stove log burner was unsafe too no seals on it so the fumes came into the cabin giving us headaches plus the decking steps outside were rotten and loose totally unsafe I neally fell through the decking when I first got there I told the host and she just laughed we left very disappointed with them after informing Vrbo who advised us to get a refund straightaway

Lovely Log Cabin!

Had a really great time staying in this log cabin. We were in the area for a wedding. The hosts were really friendly, full of local knowledge and recommendations and made us feel really welcome. The cabin was comfortable and we will definitely be back again! Thank you!!

Absolutely perfect

We had a wonderful Easter Weekend in the log cabin. Location is great - 20/25 mins from Carlisle, lots of lovely walks around. So peaceful, the log cabin itself is fab and has everything you need. Tracey and David were really friendly and i enjoyed lots of strokes with the dogs too! We will 100% be back again soon, thank you for such a great weekend away

Fantastic!! Our family off 4 stayed Christmas Eve till boxing day and it was just perfect. We arrived and Tracey ( host ) came to greet us and went above and beyond to make it feel like home, even putting presents under the tree and proccesco in the fridge!! Had a brilliant 4 night stay in the middle of May. Weather was kind to us. The cabin was a great place to stay with just the one cabin in the middle of nature. All the facilities needed for a stay. Tracey was very helpful and kind. Would recommend anyone to stay there. Thanks

Fabulous stay in authentic log cabin

Had a fantastic couple of days stay over New Year. The cabin is beautiful and could bring be better equipped. There's even an ironing board! The hosts had kindly lit the log burner and left a lovely welcome pack along with the freshest eggs and milk. They' re on hand but not intrusive. The perfect hosts! Really cosy and very comfy. Would definitely stay again.

Tranquil cabin getaway

We absolutely loved the exciting cabin for 2 adults and 2 children. It was on the middle of a massive field, surrounded by trees. We saw 2 deer in the field in the morning. Great location for walks from the door in a beautiful location.

Perfect Christmas break

Great cabin in a wonderful setting, the photos certainly don't do it justice. The cabin is well equipped and the owners on hand (without being intrusive) for any further needs. We were all spoilt with Christmas gifts under the tree, the kids were thrilled (dog loved it too!) Can't wait to return and try this place in the different seasons.

Stunning Holiday

I booked the cabin for a surprise holiday for my dad and we couldn't have been happier. The cabin, the owners and the well maintained land was excellent. The owners made us feel very welcome and so did their dogs. They gave us suggestions of walks and places to visit whilst we were there. We couldn't thank them enough for the weekend and we will definitely be back for a little longer next time.

Lovely place

We enjoyed our stay very much. Tranquile and beautiful place. The nature is picturesque, our dog enjoyed the walks and the company of the host's lovely dogs. The cabin has everything essential, and is very cosy and private. Would be very happy to return!

Great place to check out from day to day stress. Location is so peaceful and relaxing.

We loved it, our Tibetan Terrier loved going off unsupervised checking out the woodland animals. The place is so relaxing. Tracey & Dave are most helpful with advice for local walks. Our white dog was mostly black đŸ¶ . WiFi in cabin is a bonus, if you’re attached to the internet. We took our firestick and it worked totally reliably. Drove to Powfoot one day which is only 30 minute drive away. Looking forward to a return trip once the snow arrives

Perfect cosy log cabin

We had a perfect 2 nights in this log cabin (we wish we could have had longer!) On our way back from Northumberland. It is cosy, warm, well equipped in a stunning location. David and Tracey were brilliant hosts, on hand to deal with any queries and full of tips on the best walks, pubs etc. We were left a lovely welcome pack with pasta, sauce and essentials plus a bottle of Cava chilled in the fridge. The kids loved sleeping upstairs and our dog made friends with Tracey and David's dogs (who 'called round' each day for her to come out and play!đŸ€Ł). The weather wasn't great while we were there but the walks along the river were still magical and it was the perfect excuse for us all to snuggle round the log burner and play games. On the second night the sky cleared briefly and we had a stunning view of the star studded night sky. We went to sleep listening the the owls and awoke to the swallows feeding their chicks in the nest outside the door- what could be more perfect?

Lovely weekend

Me and 4 friends stayed for 2 nights and had a great time. The lodge is lovely, really clean and cosy. The hosts were really accommodating leaving a food pack on arrival and always there if we had any questions at all. Perfect for a quiet get away! Thank you!

Gorgeous place

This was the perfect place for us to celebrate our engagement. The check-in process was so easy and the bottle of rose wine and the welcome basket were a lovely touch. The lodge had everything we could need and more. We took tea, coffe and suger etc but these were already supplied along with milk, cleaning product and just about everything else you would need. Bed was so comfortable but a little close to the beam on the ceiling as my partner banged his knees a couple of times. Overall we had a fantastic 3 night stay and will definatley be back at some point. On a seperate note the owners have 2 stunning labradors who were just a dream and so loving. I wanted to take them home with me 😊😊

A fantastic countryside getaway

The cabin really is in the middle of nowhere - perfect for a quiet evenings after a long day of exploring the local area. Not too far from Carlisle, and Keswick and Windmere are just a bit further. The hosts were very welcoming and provided clean towels and a food pack on arrival and made us feel very at home. A lovely short stay and very highly recommended :)

Wonderful place

Exactly as expected. The owner house is close by but still offers plenty of privacy. Big open meadow for dogs to run, a creek to play in. No sheep so no need for a leash. Owners were very friendly and helped us jump start our car when battery died.

Pictures don’t do it justice

The place was lovely. Even nicer than the pictures which is hard to believe. The surrounding walks were lovely and the lady who owned the place was very welcoming and even picked us up from the local cafe saving us a 2.5mile walk home. Highly recommend. Lovely place. Definitely would come back again.

Lovely little cabin on the edge of paradise

We stayed for a family trip for 3 nights , the cabin is full of old fashioned charm and the grounds around it are stunning! My children loved the river and spent most of the time trying to catch fish ! David was an amazing host very friendly and a fountain of inside information. The locals were also very friendly it felt like home . We would love to return again and if we do we will definitely come back here . I would highly recommend to anyone.

Perfect for two adults and two kids. Perfect location, beautifully clean and owners very helpful.

Perfect property for a relaxing break. We loved the cabin and decking area. We especially loved the pretty and peaceful location. The owners are superb hosts and made us feel very welcome. Our children loved the freedom of the gardens. We will definitely stay again but next time for longer.

Pleasent stay

The property is a good get away cabin for a short duration, well away from any bustling city or town activity. It is well located and maintained well by the very friendly owners, Tracey and David. We had a good time in it, visiting Roman attractions nearby, including the Hadrian's Wall.
