« Beautiful cottage, fantastically located just next to the creek, seafront walks and the Hero gastropub, and a 5 min drive to Burnham Market. We were lucky to get wonderful weather and enjoy the gorgeous garden with the wisteria and apple trees in full bloom, and cosy fires at night. Beds and lounges were very comfortable and the cottage was superbly equipped. Be aware the staircase to the bedrooms is steep so not ideal if you have restricted mobility. Highly recommended. »

Step-free access and downstairs bedroom made it particularly good for those with young children or mobility issues. Steps to first floor were steep though. There is a village store/cafe (not used) but a supermarket is a few minutes drive away. Recommended for larger family groups. »

« Property was tvery pleasant and very pet friendly. Plenty of places to walk. The host kindly gave us some milk and Prosecco which was gratefully received. The worst thing was the wi-fi which was very slow and often dropped out. The shower was lovely and hot and powerful but unfortunately fell off the wall and the whole curtain rail collapsed. Fortunately it just missed my head.We loved the area and all in all had a lovely few days break away. »

« This is the second time that I have stayed & it has been perfect both times. The cottage is ideally located for shops, beach & coastal walks. I walked to the National Trust Park, did a few trails & took the coastal path back to Sheringham. I also walked the coastal path to Cromer, beautiful views. It was great to come home to a warm & cosy cottage. The bed was super comfy & there is nothing about the accommodation that I could find fault with. I'll be back again in the Autumn. »

« Well. We have just returned home after one of the best holidays ever in such a beautiful cottage in a beautiful village of Docking. Everything that we needed was available in the cottage, down a little sleepy road where all you could hear was the birds singing and a hare would often run pass on an evening. A faultless property and we can't wait to return in the near future. »

"Proximity to the train station is quite nice and the staff were very friendly. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this hotel because the room itself was not well maintained. There was black mould growing in the shower because it wasn’t properly sealed. I also couldn’t find a pillow that was very comfortable. But the most frustrating part was there was an intermittent and very loud rumbling sound in my room that kept me awake almost the entire night. I turned off my AC but that didn’t stop it. The concierge said that normally they’d switch my room, but that night there was a football game in the nearby stadium so they were fully booked. I was offered earplugs, but I’d already tried earplugs and I could still feel the vibrations in my bed; I was also worried that if I wore earplugs I’d sleep through my alarm (the only power outlet where my phone could charge was on the other side of the room) and I had a train to catch the next morning. It’s fair to say that I haven’t ever had a worse sleep in a hotel. The staff were polite and accommodating, but they were limited by substandard facilities. I thank them for their efforts, but I likely won’t be staying here again."
