The chef provides a great variety of flavors and quality dishes all served hot and on hot plates. The stairs are somewhat challenging for the elderly and mobility impaired. « This hotel is in an excellent position to the town. The staff were efficient and friendly and the breakfast was the best we've had in a hotel for a long time. Unfortunately the hotel is is need of an update. We had the first room (51) on the ground floor. This backed onto a courtyard outside the kitchen. It was noisy and there was a "hume" from some kind of machinery that kept kicking in. The heating was not on in the evening, despite it being only 2 degrees outside. For the sake of...

« Absolutely lovely hotel, stayed there as was attending a Xmas party. Check in was great, room was big, very clean and plenty of towels etc. Tea & coffee was great, nice fresh ground coffee bags a nice change from sachets of instant coffee. Breakfast was amazing, plenty of choice, refreshed quickly with very nicely cooked quality food. Table menu was very good too, I opted for 2 poached eggs which were absolutely perfect and again lovely dark rich yolks which you only get with good...
