This lodge really needs updating, everything so old in it , carpet and couch really dirty , feel robbed for my money

Shabby

It was difficult to locate on the actual park as not good sign posting. The decking needs painting and is spongy in some areas. Inside carpet threadbare and dirty plates, cups and cutlery. Towels have seen better days and paint on the duvet cover. In the child's bedroom the mattress doesn't reach the end of the bed so there is a significant gap. Couldn't get the DVD player to work and sofa is saggy and not comfortable unless you lie down.

The cabin is extremely cozy and set in a beautiful landscape, it was a lovely touch to have the welcome basket. Only downside was although the cabin was clean , there was a lot of dust and cobwebs. Adds to the rustic feel I guess

Poor quality

Initial impressions were reasonably favourable until we discovered a number of problems with fixtures and fittings.. For example: 1. The cooker - one oven didn't work and the second smaller oven was so disgusting it took 1.5 hours to clean it. 2. The cutlery and crockery all needed a thorough cleaning before it was fit to be used. 3. Pans were coated with the burnt residue of previous guest's food. 4. We arrived with food for a few days and discovered that the fridge was so small that it could only accomodate less than half. 5. The shower head was broken and wouldn't stay in position - the shower also kept running cold 6. The cabin gave the impression of being furnished with goods from charity shops - confirmed that this was the approach used by discovering a receipt for the purchase of the 3 piece suite. For a cottage costing what this did I think this is poor. 7. The range of equipment in the kitchen was inadequate - for instance only 2 mis-matched wine glasses, very limited range of kitchen ware for cooking or serving food and drinks and no condiments. 8. No evidence of the promised 'welcome pack' 9 Carpet scruffy and badly worn - I notice a previous review mentioning this and despite an owner response suggesting this would be addressed there was no evidence it had been. 10. Garden badly over grown We terminated our holiday early because the prospect of spending time in the cabin was not appealing when the weather deteriorated

Stunning location

Loved the rustic, cozy and comfortable style of the cabin. The view is incredible- the whole experience was magical - totally loved staying here . The location os also perfect for a break that combines coast with mountains. I can’t wait to come back.

Would stay here again.

The cabin was in a great location for us, and while it is in a holiday park, it doesn't feel like it. Bedrooms are tight, but enough and the living space is pretty generous. We had a slight issue getting the key on arrival, but we contacted the hosts or organised the caretakers to come out to us. This gave us a chance to walk to the onsite bar and take in the scenery while we waited. In 30 minutes we were in. I have read some slightly negative reviews but I do think they are being unfair to the hosts. Sure there are some elements that could be updated or improved, but value for money, this place was excellent. We would stay here again which is the best recommendation I could give.

Lovely place to stay

Nice cabin with lovely views in a beautiful location. The children loved being so close to the park! Owner very helpful. We had a great break there.

Clean, Comfy & Cosy!

Firstly, the owners were always very helpful and responded to my messages fairly quickly, which was great as I had a few Qs regarding our stay for New Year. The cabin was lovely and cosy and the whole cabin was very clean - especially the bathroom and kitchen and the bathroom was never short of hot water! Heaters in every room and a fab DVD collection, along with Freeview. And the incredible views were beautiful to wake up to - a big reccommend from my family and I! The only con - the heaters seemed a little intermittent in the living room but this wasn't a massive problem as the other heaters worked fine and made up for it, plus there was plenty of covers if needed. Would definitely return, thank you!

cabin tyred, threadbare carpet, torn lino and appliances,cutlery and crockery filthy. did not use oven as baked on food still on grill pan. had to complain of neighbour with radio going 6feet away while we were trying to relax on balcony and take in stunning views.

Just amazing the location was excellent the property was amazing and just loved that in a central location to enjoy everything around us -the park is so quiet but the people are so friendly there I will definitely book another stay

Cozy Lodge with amazing views!

Loved it! Cozy Lodge with all your essentials. The beds are nice and comfy with nice soft bedding. I was unsure of my 2yr old sleeping on the bottom bunk so I took the travel cot which fitted comfortably in the bunk bed room. The shower was snug but nice and warm. Amazing views (even on a rainy day) of the mountains. It was nice to sit outside in the evenings and just take it all in. The kids park can be seen from your lodge. The on site shop is stocked with everyday bits you may need and there is a fish & chip van that comes and parks near the shop 3 evenings of the week. It was a nice touch with the "hotel" style welcome pack. Thank you for letting us stay x

Cabin

We enjoyed our stay despite the very wet weather. The cabin was warm and comfortable and the kitchen well stocked with utensils. We undertook local walks and runs as well as visiting the seaside towns. Everyone in the village seemed friendly and the reception and shop was useful and helpful.

Snowdonia Lodge Retreat

The place was fine for our stay. Unfortunately, the errors by the caretaker prior to our arrival put a damper on our view of our stay (not the fault of the owner), and we commend her on the quick resolution of the problems (no sheets and towels, as there should have been). Unlike the other places we stayed, the building style felt more like being in a holiday cottage back in Canada (wood exterior and interior instead of stone exterior). The setting was fine, but turned out to be farther away from Snowdonia National Park than we had figured, so we spent more time driving than planned. The retreat works fine if you plan on doing things locally. We thank Kathyrn again for the use of the place.

Perfect family break

We stayed for 3 nights and it was perfect for us. Enough space for us all (2 adults, 1 child, a baby and a dog). Perfect area and onsite facilities were good too. The cabin it’s self was clean and tidy when we arrived and even had tea and coffee waiting for us - which we needed after our long drive. Would highly recommend to others too.

Lovely

Really enjoyed our stay in the lodge, it had everything we needed and the site is so quiet and well kept. Our dog Rudy loved charging around the dog park, which was empty most of the time. Hopefully this will not be our last visit
