« Had a lovely 4 night stay. The room was very clean..bathroom too. Enough drawers and storage space. The food was amazing. Breakfast was lovely..good quality and great portions. Restaurant/ bar food brilliant. Food good quality..cooked and presented really well. Staff very accommodating and friendly. »

« In spite of some very lovely staff, this hotel is in an appalling state and desperately need of a facelift. Water damage on the walls, peeling paint, leaking toilets, a broken shower and windows that haven’t been cleaned in years. The owners need to spend a lot of money on this establishment that must have been spectacular in the past, as neither it or the staff deserve it being left in this state. »

« The Nutshell is a lovely little place, perfect for a stay in Whitby. Great location close to the harbour and town centre. Very clean and everything you need, hob, oven and all crockery and utensils. Nice feel to the place, makes you feel like you’re at the seaside. Great communication with the owners. Would 100% stay again. I was there for a week and had a wonderful time. »

« Just ten mins walk to town centre, few minute walk to north sea seaside, location is lovely. The room is clean, the bed is comfy, the shower has high water pressure which is good for after walking all day. The only one thing is kettle doesn't clean, some water left there when I check-in. »

« Lovely property in an ideal location to walk and explore Whitby. Very clean and tidy. Well stocked kitchen for cooking bits and pieces. Plenty of information of the surrounding areas and clear instructions regarding bins, parking, check in and heating. Brilliant communication from the hosts before stay. Would definitely recommend and visit again! »
