« The house was clean and tidy. We were there to just sleep and not entertain. I would say that for our family preferences, we’d stay in a more quiet area of the city. This part of Grand Rapids while charming is busier than we expected. This is no fault of the host. Her description of the home and what was included was spot on. It is an old house but VERY charming and cozy. Lots of great coffee shops and eateries nearby etc. Good value and stay overall. »

« We enjoyed everything about this property and everything was exactly as described! We saw all kinds of wildlife including about a dozen different types of birds. The property sits on a road that is walkable and scenic, and the home has great views of the lake, which is perfect for kayaking. Overall, an enjoyable vacation away from home! »

« We only stayed one night. However the inside was very clean. Disappointed in the condition of the property itself. I’m not sure if the backyard has been mowed this year and the weeds hit the middle of the windows. Neighbors are friendly and it’s centrally located. Could definitely stay again just wish the outside could be maintained. »

We stayed the weekend for a wedding and the location was only a 6 minute car ride from Downtown. We were immediately concerned when we first pulled up to the house- boxes laying all over, personal belongings laying in the grass, and an unfinished deck with screws sticking out and rotting handrails. We walked in the house to unfinished renovations- patchwork throughout the house, outlet box hanging OUT of the outlet, a shattered glass door panel (that my 2 year old found and started touching the exposed glass shards), personal belongings throughout the house...
