Que ce soit les chambres, le personnel de l’hôtel ou la restauration, tout était parfait. Les chambres sont spacieuses et très propres, la literie de très bonne qualité. Les jardins et la piscine sont superbement entretenus. Un vrai petit cocon. Le restaurant est délicieux, les plats sont bons et pour ce qui est du service et bien rien à redire. Nous sommes accueillis et chouchouté tout au long du séjour. Je conseille très vivement cet hôtel à taille humaine qui vous fait apprécier encore plus cette ville et ses alentours. Merci à tous pour avoir contribué très largement a ce que nos vacances restent gravées à jamais dans nos têtes.

Endroit paradisiaque
Personnel exceptionnellement gentil et avenant. L'hôtel est très paisible et très agréable. Le restaurant est très bon et les prix sont très abordables. Literie de très bonne qualité, excursions, navette à disposition pour rejoindre le centre d'ubud. Incontournable pour passer un séjour d'exception !

Nous nous basons toujours sur les avis positifs pour choisir un hôtel. Au vu des commentaires, nous nous attendions à passer un excellent séjour. Plusieurs «détails» font que nous ne sommes pas d’accord avec la majorité des avis. Négatif: - la chambre. Nous n’avons pas réservé de villa, c’etait peut être une erreur. Besoin de rafraîchissement (infiltration d’eau dans les murs, éclairage terrible dans la salle d’eau) - le nettoyage. La plupart du temps la poubelle n’était pas vidée et le réassort du mini bar pas fait (jamais expérimenté en 4*) - le petit-déjeuner. Là encore, service aléatoire, nous avons été servi soit rapidement soit très lentement, le café arrivait souvent en fin de repas - la réception. Rien à redire sur l’accueil toujours chaleureux, mais il était souvent difficile de communiquer. Peut être que le staff voulait être sûr d‘exaucer au mieux nos demandes, mais nous répétions souvent plusieurs fois nos requêtes à plusieurs personnes, tout semblait compliqué, désorganisé. Le 1er jour on nous a appelé à 8h pour savoir si nous souhaitions participer à une activité proposée uniquement sur réservation - nous n’en avions pas fait la demande - les navettes. Horaires réguliers annoncés mais on doit réserver l’aller/retour, cela devrait être un service automatique car l’hôtel n’est pas central Positif: - chambre spacieuse et calme - belle piscine - supers traitements au Spa Nous pensons donc malheureusement qu’il y a de meilleurs hôtels à Ubud.

Magnifique hôtel !
Séjour fantastique dans ce superbe hôtel, au calme, loin de l'agitation d'ubud, tout en étant très accessible avec la navette de l'hôtel. Personnel attentif, spa sérieux, chambre villa très confortable, superbement décorée, avec piscine de très bonne taille, Tout était parfait, je retournerai dans cet hôtel sans hésiter.

excellent service, lusi et son équipe font tout pour que votre voyage se passe à merveille. J'ai fais ma demande de fiançailles la bas et je ne le regrette pas, les villas sont très belles et je les recommande vivement. Leger manque au niveau des taches sur les rideaux et draps et serviette mais rien de bien méchant. Service excellent, petit déjeuner très très bon surtout les oeufs bénédictines avec une sauce hollandaise. Je recommande vivement cet hotel allez y les yeux fermés.

Une navette (un petit monospace de 6 places) est disponible toutes les heures pour ubud centre, l'hôtel est à 4km environs mais au calme. Le Spa est toujours en construction mais devrait être prêt d'ici 1 semaine. Nous n'avons pas été gênés par le bruit des travaux.

A very quiet and serene atmosphere. Breakfast options were amazing. We were very shocked, as a small Group of friends, that there was no door or privacy between the bathroom and bedroom. The air con has to stay on full the whole time due to the heat and it was very very loud making it impossible to sleep.

I paid cash during my stay on the last day I asked them to just charge my last meals to the room when I tried checking out they refused to let me leave and said I owed lots of money. I didn’t know what to do so I just gave them my card and they charged it then said they didn’t get that payment either my bank said they did get it I almost missed my flight and had to have money sent from my family. If you stay here just keep receipts if paying cash. Also the resort is very far out and there’s construction next door. Overall a beautiful resort but some scamming or miscommunication with the rupiah and employees

Decent stay with caveats
We stayed at Sankara for 4 days. Pros: Super comfortable deluxe room, great pool, good food, good massages, free shuttle to ubud center Cons: 1. Breakfast was good but wasn't unlimited. I know it's not buffet but guests should be able to order a few extras. I was charged for extra eggs twice. 2. Food was expensive with 20% extra charges. Portion size was small for steaks and chicken 3. No taxis can enter the property if you want to go to places other than ubud center which means you are forced to either walk outside to look for a taxi (which is confusing) or ask Sankara reception who would charge you 4 times the actual price. The staff wasn't helpful in this regards. 4.There was no prayer mat on the property which is shocking considering Indonesia is a muslim country- can't pray on a dirty yoga mat. Summary: Overall the stay was good but the resort was expensive and customer service was average.

Dated but beautiful
The property needs some maintenance but overall is beautiful. The pool villa is the way to go if you like having a private pool. However the villas does not have proper AC for the size. You will be slightly warm. The team there does care and try’s hard. The location is in a quiet area for the most part. There is some construction next door but it wasn’t too disruptive. The food was just ok. There are good food options nearby. Ubud central with traffic will take 25 minutes. Sankara provides a shuttle so that’s nice.

Lovely property but there’s a lot of construction going on in the property and directly next door. There are also a lot of mosquitos since it’s the beginning of the rainy season. The staff are friendly and helpful.

When we checked in we were told about construction happening next door which was out of their control (no problems with that) and a party at the club next door which we were all offered ear plugs for only to have them renovating a room in the resort right behind our villa using a jackhammer for two days straight!! Their only solution was to give us a voucher for a massage. We paid for a 1 bedroom pool villa hoping for some quiet and relaxation. Then on our second last day my husband just got out of the shower when something came off a pal tree and smashed the glass over the shower (clearly not shatterproof as there was glass everywhere) There’s so much construction going on that I wouldn’t stay there if you’re seeking peace and quiet. The best part of the stay was meeting Budhi who drives the shuttles, he is just the kindest most knowledgeable man.

Consider Ubud a junglelike location and so the hotel is in such an area but it is very beautiful. We were welcomed very kindly and the staff were very accommodating. Just be mindful that at the time of our visit, there was nearby construction going on which created a lot of noise and workers were a little intrusive by the pool. Room was a very good size but slightly old in design (it fitted the vibe of a jungle). A lot of YouTube videos online are a true reflection of the rooms. Bathroom was an open style so at times could be very slippery. Out of the 3 hotels I stayed at in Bali, this bed was the best and most comfortable - never had a better night sleep than here. The AC unit was a god send too! One gripe I had were ants in the bathtub and an infestation on the door but they provided ant killer which kept them at bay. Also there were other wildlife like lizards nearby which was a little unsettling. But that is to be expected because of the area. It was very well situated with a free shuttle service to central Ubud. We struggled to eat a lot of the breakfast in the morning and just opted to have cereal instead - our dietary requirements were halal.

Very noisy and felt unsafe. There was no lift so had to climb up and down many steps with my bad knee. Got scared to a big gacko outside my room. Lots of mosquitoes. Food was good, staff helpful.
