« As long as you are physically able to manage the steps (that the owner includes in the listing) this is an absolutely wonderful couple retreat place. The hosts were very friendly [including their 2 dogs :-)] and helpful, the view across the lake is gorgeous, everything was clean and neat and included all that we needed (or asked for in one case), was great to have the kayaks available to go out on the lake. « The house is in a great location and has beautiful lake views! We had a great time staying here with our friends for a long weekend. Close to many state parks with beautiful hikes, no shortage of waterfalls and wineries. The property has private well water so took a little creative showering with our group of 7 and the hot water wasnt working the first night but it was an easy fix and the hosts were quick to respond. »

« Beautiful location in the forest right next to the lake. It’s a very warm and cozy feeling. Just walk out the back door and you are within several feet of the shoreline. The only concern is to be aware of the stairs waI would recommend for anyone who wants to be on the lake and in a forest setting. Just walk down the steps from the parking area and into another world. The shoreline is literally steps from the back door. »

« Great communication. Spectacular location right on the water. Quiet. Safe. Cozy. Fire pit is a bonus, everything provided to build a fire. Crackling fire along with waves lapping. A wonderful dock. Water fowl landings and take offs. Beautifully White Birch tree. Sunrises. The house is equipped and comfortable. So very comfortable. All electric switches are labeled. Plenty of ice in the freezer. Ceiling fans. Will be looking forward to our next stay here. Lauren and Jeff are terrific hosts. »

« We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage! The place was comfortable and clean. It’s very close to Keuka State Park, which was a great place for short hikes. We also visited a couple local wineries, but we visited in the off season so many were only open on the weekends. The only thing that wasn’t great was the sulfur taste and smell in the water. The brita pitcher provided helped a lot. We would definitely stay again. »

« Amber was an excellent host, the property was clean and comfortable, we initially had an issue with the heating system due to the excessively cold weather, but this was swiftly resolved and we were soon warm and cosy!The cottage has a lovely view over Owasco lake, nice furnishings, comfortable beds and all the facilities needed for a pleasant stay. Amber had even kindly left us a delicious bottle of local wine.We would definitely recommend! »

« The one bedroom cottage was a comfortable stay for us. The size was good for us and it was very clean. Just about everything needed was available. The location was very convenient for the places we wanted to visit. It was surprising private considering it was really located in a neighborhood. We stayed in the fall so we didn't take advantage of the waterfront for swimming/boating. The small porch was nice. Communication was great, it was easy to get into the cottage. It is an older building...

"Les plus : une vue splendide sur le lac avec une piscine et une terrasse très confortables. Les moins : l’odeur des moquettes dans les chambres. L’hôtel accepte les chiens mais la moquette n’est pas du tout adaptée ! En entrant dans notre chambre il y avait une odeur de « chien mouillé » très désagréable. Et pas possible d’ouvrir les fenêtres pour aérer… Le petit déjeuner propose pas mal de choses mais tout est proposé dans des assiettes en carton, des bols en carton, des verres en plastique et couverts en plastique ! Ce n’est pas gênant pour manger mais qu’est ce que ça engendre comme déchets ! C’est tout simplement énorme ! Dommage, la parti environnementale de l’hôtel est très mauvaise."
