Calle la Ronda 15 (aka Casa de Colores - the house of colors) is a tropical and spacious vacation rental at Las Catalinas, designed with you and your family in mind. It is only a one-minute walk to the beach, easy access to surrounding shops and restaurants, and literally miles of hiking and biking trails.

Casa de Colores is your 4 story luxury vacation home. The main entry floor is an open concept space where you will find a very colorful kitchen, dining area and living room. The kitchen is well equipped with stainless steel appliances, plenty of counter space, and all the utensils you will need to cook every meal. There is plenty of natural light from the large surrounding windows and terrace doors. The eating area holds a cooking island/breakfast bar with four high-top chairs and a dining table for eight.

The living room is furnished with a couch and two large arm chairs. It is a great spot for a chat, sipping coffee, or just hanging out. However, the outdoor terrace off the kitchen is the favorite spot, complete with a plunge pool and pool fountains, shaded sitting chairs and sunny lounge chairs.

There is a lock off apartment on the bottom level, which is especially helpful if you are traveling in groups and want more privacy. It has an open living room with a sleep sofa, eating area and fully equipped kitchen, with a separate queen bedroom, and private bathroom and shower. There is also a separate door to enter and exit Beach Town from this level.

The second floor above the main entry floor has two bedrooms and a shared bathroom and shower on this level. There is a bunk room with a trundle bed (great for kids) that sleeps up to three, and a lovely queen bedroom with Juliet balcony that overlooks the stone walking street below. On the same level is a shaded ocean-view balcony accessible from the foyer that has a porch swing for reading or resting.

The master bedroom is on the third floor, complete with a king bed suite of furniture and a walk-in closet. There is also a full size master bath, with a double vanity sink, a deep bathtub and a shower. There is another shaded ocean-view balcony with overstuffed chairs that also provides fantastic views of the unique Las Catalinas landscape and world renowned architecture. Need a travel crib? No problem! Just reach out our concierge team to arrange one. Keep in mind they are subjected to availability and have an additional charge.

Last, but far from least, on the rooftop terrace there is a BBQ grill, comfortable furniture for 10+ guests, and the most stunning panoramic views you will find in all of Las Catalinas. The ocean and Catalinas Islands are there to enjoy during countless sunset Happy Hours.

The house is fully equipped with A/C, ceiling fans, Smart TVs with streaming, and high speed internet, as well as a household laundry closet for your convenience. As a guest of Casa de Colores, we also include complementary amenities, such as salt, pepper, cooking oil, shampoo, and soap. There are other bonus items for your personal use, such as beach towels, folding beach chairs, a cooler, and more.

In order to maintain the security that everyone deserves, it is necessary to present the identification of the person who made the reservation at the time of check-in. We greatly appreciate your support.

About the area:

Las Catalinas is a Mediterranean-inspired community of gracefully winding walkways, magnificent stucco homes, unmatched landscaping, and a stunning beach club with four pools. You will have access to the soft sandy beaches and a glorious warm ocean. Wandering through this carefree town, you will find various restaurants, a brew pub, shops, and other fun places to gather. LC's very own Pura Vida Ride has bikes, kayaks, snorkel gear, SUP boards, boogie boards, and fishing gear to be rented for your personal use. There are also two fitness facilities available – an indoor fully-equipped cardio and weight room, and an outdoor Flintstone-esque all wood strength training space and outdoor yoga studio. The Center of Joy, a beautiful indoor yoga studio and retreat, is also only a one-minute walk away. Everywhere you go in this pedestrian-only town you will find friendly residents, other vacation guests, and staff to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

The parking lot for two cars is for free. Now parking at our property is autonomously and more environmentally friendly with a reusable card that you’ll receive upon arrival. If the card is not returned or missing, there will be a $50 USD replacement fee. Daily Pass Options:

- Beach Club Adult Pass: At $30 USD + 13% VAT, with $15 redeemable in consumables. Reservations required.

- Beach Club Child Pass (8 to 12 years): $15 USD + 13% VAT, with $10 redeemable in consumables. Children under 8 enjoy free entry with limited access.

- Swim & Gym Pass: $20 USD + 13% VAT for access between 7 am and 10 am only. Perfect for early birds! Hours may vary, and access is limited.

Great location within Las Catalinas!

A mix of extended family ( 5 adults & 1 child) traveled for a family event. Location within the town is great- the center of the town and beach are just steps away.The management co. was very responsive- they reached out to understand the time we would arrive & they provided necessary codes that were all correct. Our contact came over and made sure I understood how to open the doors, lighting, safe, etc. When I had questions she answered me immediately. Home has 4 levels with a cool circular stair- this gave each of us private space on each floor. The stairs were no issue as we are all physically fit. The home is solid and you do not hear noise from within. We rented as a 4 bedroom-the lowest level bedroom includes a bath, a small sitting & extra kitchen area which was great. The small dip pool was clean and well enjoyed.We vacationed at a prime time and due to this I believe the price per night was very high for the value of the property. We paid for convenience & prices are just higher than I am used to, within this small village.For a "luxury" type property, it is a bit run down. The washer - showers didn't work upon arrival but the management company had staff come immediately to fix the issue of a water value being off. It's great to know if you rent from Blue Zone that they will immediately fix the issue.Overall house could use a bit of a refresh to include cleaning upholstered furniture & updated kitchen counter tops - they are well worn. Overall a great stay.

Great Location. Very Enjoyable. A few Challenges

All in all, we loved our time at Las Catalinas. A few things we wished would have gone better. The AC in one room did not work. Maintenance was promised the morning after our arrival. It never came. The dryer did not work, so we could not wash our clothes without a dryer. That was a known issue before our arrival (a panel was missing from the dryer) but that was overlooked. That is a big deal for a family expecting to be able to wash clothes during the stay. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, but these inconveniences are too easy to correct. So, it says something about the level of concern and responsiveness of the property management. The focus and concern for the guest experience are just not there. The leadership of the property management team has not instilled a level of attention to detail into their team. Details matter. They do, and the Property Management team does not seem to really grasp that. Otherwise, we would have had a functioning Washer and Dryer, and Air Conditioning in every room. There are some things that simply saying Pura Vida does not change. The Property Management is not up for the task. They do not have Guest Comfort in their priorities. It is a leadership challenge. And in this area, it is a leadership failure. If it happened to us, it could certainly happen to you.
