Je suis restée dans cette hôtel une seul nuit et c'était excellent, l'accueil est parfait avec des personnes gentils et chaleureux, la chambre est conforme. J'ai également fait connaissance avec le chat de l'hôtel (il est très câlin). J'ai également testé le restaurant de l'hôtel je vous le conseille, c'est très bon. Je retournerai dans cette hôtel pour mon prochain passage à Taupo 😁

This facility does not match up to the explanation of it on expedia. Rooms are so small, yes a tv, but thats all. Absolutely disgusted. Expedia you need to update this facility.

We had an unpleasant stay at the property. We paid extra for late check out. However, at 10am, the housekeeping staff has been banging our room telling us to vacate the place. So we informed them that our checkout time is supposed to be midday. Receptionist was so rude, didn’t apologise and blamed another receptionist for their muck up. We were made to feel so unwelcome. It was just so horrible.

tiny old room not even a cupboard to place your stuff very basic. when i booked only it says double bed and turns out to be a bunkbed which is fine because we are tired of travelling in last 24 hours and needs to resr. However the steel bunkbed frame was squicking everytime you move. Also note you can hear the noise from the hallway, room next door and other patrons walking up and down the steps. fan in the bathroom is noisy. location wise is perfect and enough parking for guest. Did not able to dine at the restaurant “social club” as they not serving anymore meal after 7pm :(

A special feature at this property was the pool area with the spa and heated pool. The staff were welcoming and caring, giving it a homely feeling.

Overall stay was good, however we could hear everything going on upstairs, which happened to be someone just walking around constantly which was quite disruptive. This however isn’t the fault of the hotel! Lovely man serving coffee in the morning, beautiful views and so close to everything!

The room was a little tatty, a few cobwebs around the ceiling, a loose hot tap on the sink, chipped paint, perceived as poor attention to cleanliness and maintenance to poor quality fixtures and fittings. Reasonably well located with respect to the town, on site car parking inadequate if the place is full, The uninvitingly named 'social club' which is the motel eating and drinking facility was, we thought, surprisingly good.

We booked a room for me and my misses plus our 9 year old daughter. We only stayed two nights and thought the staff were very friendly and enjoyed the hotel on the whole. Apart from the ceiling fan and the extractor fan needing a clean the room suited our needs. Would recommend.

Comfortable stay - great staff
We had a very comfortable stay for two nights in 3 rooms for our party of 3 adult couples. Due to a glitch in the hotels.com system the hotel didn’t have a record of our booking made in July 2023 but went out of their way to allocate rooms including upgrades to our original booking. The rooms were in excellent order and we could see no sign of the tired decor mentioned in some other reviews. The common parts had good carpet and decoration. We tried the on site restaurant “social club” for evening dinner which was both good value and tasty food. We had two electric vehicles and were able to use the on site charging The hotel is located on the lake front and it was a very short walk down to the shoreline for a dip. If we are in the area again we would definitely rebook.

It is convenient but room small, very noisy from other patrons & restaurant/bar. Fan in toilet very nosey and no separate light beside that connected to the toilet fan. No air conditioning in room, opening the window increases the noise.

Property is tired, bed very hard and pillows cheap. No air conditioning in room but had a ceiling fan this didn't help and cool room unless windows open but no safety latches on window so felt uncomfortable leaving these open even though in a room directly above ground floor level.
