Positives-it is exceptionally clean and conveniently located. Elaine and Jim are both very personable and responsive but over involved. Elaine showed up without notice. Jim was there working and did his own laundry? Both reminded us many times to leave a five star review. Never once were we asked our opinions. I am confused by the number of times this property has been reviewed with little mention of the unorthodox bedroom situation. The 3 bedrooms(not according to Florida Code) include a reconfigured dining room that offers little in the way of privacy or sound control, has neither a closet or a dresser. The main is a pass-through to the third. Only the third has a closet(only closet in house) and any privacy. The main has a door to the hall bathroom, not a “suite”. The bathroom door would not stay closed so we put cardboard in the frame and used the hall doorway. There are poor condition pots and pans, little in the way of cleaning supplies, no vacuum, one bicycle, no games, etc. We bought hangers and forks. The grill is tiny and charcoal. The W/D is in garage and shared by tenant in the guest house. The tenant was particularly unfriendly and had a dog that lunged and snarled at us every time it came out. She complained we spent too much time in the courtyard . It’s Florida!!Our observation-this is a nice basic house for a family that doesn’t need much privacy. It is not a “luxury” house.
