Family stay
+ Hotel a bit far from city center but well deserved by buses. + Staff welcoming and keen to help + Has got closed parking but with charge (35USD/night). - Complementary breakfast cannot be considered as a breakfast. Only a few pastries which are not enough for all rooms and that you must pick-up at te entrance if you want some. No juices only coffee. Breakfast should not be indicated as available on web site.

Cosy hotel in Laurel Heights
Located in the quiet and safe area of Laurel Heights, Laurel Inn offers an alternative from stays in hotels of crowded downtown SF. Very friendly and helpfull people at the front desk. Room was quite spacious for our family and very clean. For your visits to the city, there is a very good transportation network available. Negative comment will come to the poor continental breakfast with its low-quality coffee and a few pastries only. Fresh juice, bread, butter and jam - with the presence of a toaster - would be greatly recommanded & appreciated.

Le nom de l'hôtel nous avait attiré, croyant que ce ne serait pas qu'un simple motel mais quelque chose de plus chic… Mais non, c'est clairement juste un motel mais beau de l'extérieur. La salle de bain est horrible (mais propre, il faut le reconnaître), les murs sont en carton, on entend tout ce que les voisins se disent et ce qu'ils écoutent à la télé. Ils disent que le petit déjeuner est offert, mais ce n'est que du café et quelques croissants/muffins. Mauvais choix de quartier, on est loin de tout, il faut prendre 2 autobus pour aller où que ce soit.

Propre confortable produits douche et shampoing et conditionner de bonne qualité juste un bémol pour la largeur des lits un peu juste (140 cm) il faut juste demander une serviette en plus pour 4 car il y en avait toujours 3

L'hôtel est bien situé dans un quartier calme et proche de la marina.Il dispose en plus d'un parking et les restaurants environnants sont très bons.

hotel laurel inn a san francisco très calme et proche en bus du downtown
Hôtel confortable dans le quartier presidio, bon accueil. breakfast copieux réapprovisionné régulièrement par une serveuse asiatique toujours souriante; mais il n'y a pas de salle à manger véritable alors on déjeune dans le hall de l'hôtel ! (on peut se servir et monter dans sa chambre). les 2 lits king size de la chambre étaient des lits de 120cm (!) mais très confortables, chambres bien insonorisées. accès wifi gratuit dans la chambre. à noter: café thé et cookies a volonté dans l'après midi pour le goûter. situé à 6 rues à pied (et ça descend!) de Fillmore street avec pas mal de restos. sinon prendre le bus (3days passport) pour aller downtown et jusqu'au fisherman's warf. bien desservi. 1 conso gratuite offerte par personne par l'hotel dans le pub d'à côté! sympa!

Super hôtel, très belle chambre avec table basse canapé et bureau en plus du lit en 180 ! belle baie vitrée avec stores. Cookies et lemonade servis à 15h tous les jours, très appréciable.

This is our second stay at The Laurel Inn. Both times were because of my husband having surgery at UCSF. This is close to the hospital. We just parked our car at the hotel and then I would Uber back and forth to the hospital. The staff here at the hotel is just wonderful, and the rooms are not fancy but I would say they are charming and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel. I would say that the lobby could use an update as that is where you get your first impression of the facility. Thank you for a very comfortable stay!

Having stayed at the Laurel Inn for over a decade it is sad to see the little declines-dirty laundry cart in hall for three days, end of breakfast amenities,staff not as friendly. The rooms were still spotless and the location great,but it has lost some of the neighborhood warmth.

Too expensive for what you get
Great location but the facility seemed a bit old and tired and in need of remodeling. It was expensive compared to similar hotels and the on-site parking was an additional $45/night. I won't be staying here again.

So happy I discovered this gem of a hotel far from downtown dirt and grime. It’s like another world. Tough walking the hills but great dining and shops in all directions. Make sure to ask if you want daily cleaning of room. Very helpful staff and easy parking for $42. Even facing Presidio street, felt peaceful and quiet. My second business trip here. Will keep returning.

Not sure I will stay anywhere else when visiting SF now that I have stayed here. The dirty and grimy feeling of union square and Soma doesn’t exist here. Stunning residential neighborhood and easy to walk to Presido plus great restaurants and shopping nearby. Took 30 min from airport so not that different from downtown. Outstanding staff. Modern decor in room. Room 308 very large and quiet. Are at Magic Flute and Spruce nearby…excellent. Walked to Brioche in Haifght and The Mill for breakfast and everything was excellent.

Great location if one needs to be in lower pacific heights or presidio heights neighborhoods; easy walking and multiple transportation options. Rooms nice, staff very nice and helpful. Major issue and one item that may well prevent my return was terrible water pressure. Taking a shower was a trying experience; took forever. Attached bar Laureate I believe, very nice, small bites the limit for food but they were good; nice staff.

Property offers 2 parking spaces legally authorized for reserved placard and disabled plate guests, however they actually view the spaces as optional and even allow non authorized guests to park their cars in both spaces for their convenience. As a caregiver and driver for an authorized disabled person, I had to ask the front desk person to relocate one car so that I could re-park in the ADA space to load up at checkout. What bothered me the most is how the staff expected me to understand they have a need to do it despite overflow garage parking on another level which they intimated could inconvenience a guest as the entrance requires issuing a garage door clicker. What about inconveniencing a person who is disabled their rightful designated parking space? Not only baggage etc is loaded and unloaded but wheelchairs and close proximity for less mobile guests factor in. And then, to not offer an apology, and charge $42/day for parking? An apology goes a long way. The property and location serve my needs and satisfaction very well. I hope the management takes a better look at tracking when they have current disabled guests who require the parking space, and more importantly that they follow the federal law as posted on signage on their property. Very Disappointed, but only in this regard.
