Très bien
Hôtel idéalement placé dans un quartier résidentiel très bien desservie par les transports en commun. Excellent point de départ pour visiter San Francisco. Accueil sympathique. Chambre propre et confortable dans une ambiance familiale. Seul bemol, le bruit de la rue, boule quiez bienvenue pour la nuit (fournie par l'hôtel).

Hôtel très bien situé proche des quartiers à découvrir. Le personnel est très accueillant, serviable et disponible. La chambre au rdc donnant sur une rue desservie par le bus est certes un peu bruyante mais les boules kies sont fournies. Chambre petite, vétuste, mais propre. Le petit déjeuner est super. Je recommande cet hôtel familial pour ceux qui fuient les usines à dormir.

This property is in the perfect location in regards to where my daughter lives in San Francisco. I never saw anyone who worked there but the check-in was electronic and they made it easy to check-in and go straight to your room. No elevator so you do have to take your luggage upstairs yourself. It was clean and very cute also. We will stay there again.

Being close to local attractions and transport links is something our guests often appreciate, and we're glad it was the case for you. Our beloved stairs are protected by Historic preservation. The Grove Inn is one of San Francisco’s oldest boarding houses. This 3-story Italianate-Victorian style building was constructed in 1865 during the Gold Rush era. We strive to provide exceptional service and amenities to all of our guests and we do have a luggage elevator which is available during the front desk hours from 9 am to 5 pm. Wonderful experience! The rooms were so nice and the neighbor is nice and quiet. I’ve stayed in a. Lot of areas of San Francisco and this was by far my favorite!

Charming place on a busline
This was in many ways a charming little place. The room was nicely furnished, with everything you need for tea and coffee. My room was at the top of a winding staircase. though, and there’s no elevator. There happened to be someone at the desk who helped get my luggage upstairs, but not when I left, so pack lightly. The only other concern I had was the noise from the bus line right next to the building and under my window. Turns out the bus ran less often at night. The owners also provide a number of noise muffling gadgets to help out and they work pretty well. The bed was quite comfortable, the room was sparkling clean. If you’re strong enough to manage your luggage, it’s worth giving it a try.

Small hotel, friendly staff and easy to walk to great restaurants and parks. Don’t recommend brining a car, parking can be a challenge.

The wash sink drains very very slow. If your room is on the first floor, you can hear people walking upstairs.

Nice rooms in the neighborhood. Walk to SF Jazz and many restaurants. All manner of shops and it’s near the performing arts. I would return.

Stayed here for one night as my wife and I were in town for a concert at the Fillmore. Comfortable rooms, super nice staff, and great location. Loved walking to the Fillmore and back and eating at great restaurants close by. Will definitely stay here again!!

Staff was very friendly. Rooms were fine considering the price, but being in an old house meant no AC, and then windows didn’t open fully. As a result, the room was too warm at night.

It is an excellent location, a block from the beautiful Alamo Square Park. The accommodations are clean and very comfortable.

Great inn, better than the sf hotel experience
Easy check in, plenty of street parking and great location with a view of Alamo square park from the front of the hotel. Both the ladies who were working at the front desk were exceptionally helpful and welcoming. Will definitely stay again.

Das Grove Inn ist super gelegen, in einer ruhigen Wohngegend mit einigen Möglichkeiten zum Frühstücken oder Abendessen. Die Bushaltestelle ist direkt vor der Haustür. Das Zimmer, dass wir hatten war sehr klein, aber mit allen nötigen Gegenständen ausgestattet (Kühlschrank, Kaffeemaschine, Wasserkocher). Es war ziemlich warm und das Fenster ließ sich kaum öffnen, sodass wir nicht wirklich lüften konnten und die mobile Klimaanlage hat dies auch nicht geschafft. Wir hatten ein paar Ameisen im Badezimmer und hatten das Gefühl, dass während unseres Aufenthaltes nicht groß sauber gemacht wurde. Aber für die 4 Tage die wir da waren war es absolut in Ordnung und würden wir auch weiterempfehlen vor allem wegen der tollen Lage und dem Preis!

Location and Comfort!
In a fantastic location! Makes you feel a part of the local neighborhood. Bus right outside that runs to the Golden Gate Bridge or to the subway. 4 blocks away is a slew of delicious restaurants, bars, and shops. The front desk was helpful and had great suggestions for places to eat and check out. To top it all the mattress was extremely comfortable. Would stay here again for sure.

This was a perfect place to stay to go to the San Francisco opera. Easy walking distance, lovely neighborhood. Comfortable, quiet room with nice touches like treats to accompany coffee, en electric kettle, and a white noise machine.
