« This is a lovely place to stay, a hidden gem. My only comment would be that we did object to some banging the door and trying to get in at 8:30 this morning. « The view from this property was stunning and the host was good at communicating, even got send a hand book which was really helpful with everything in the house as well as local things we can do. Unfortunately we did come across a few things that were not up to our expectations like a lot of cobwebs, oven and kettle were quite unclean, we found one of the beds splintered and generally some of the furniture is due to be replaced. « We stayed here as a family of 19 for 2 nights over New Year ranging from age 5-70. It was good as we all had our own individual cottages with kitchens, living rooms and bathroom which gave us our own space but the communal area is the Hall was being enough when we wanted to be together. Only issue was the gas heaters and log burners not working properly in a couple of cottages but electric heaters were available and there is central heating in two of the cottages. « WOW factor! Do not be put off. Its stunning, yes its remote so plan ahead. Id not recommend for under 5's. My family are teens and we all loved it here. Communication is superb and nothing is too much. Hot tub was clean and hot! Beds are so comfortable and clean. 3 double rooms in main house, master having ensuite, other 2 Jack & Jill ensuite, 1 double room in annex with ensuite. No downstairs toilet but no issue. »
