« We loved our stay at Heron's Hideaway. The house was immaculately clean. The host provided lots of accommodations - plenty of clean towels, shampoo, conditioner and soap, pool towels, etc. Kim was great to work with and responded to all of our communication immediately. The house is a perfect spot to camp out and relax. We visited a couple small beaches within an hour of the house, and Williamsburg but could easily see staying at the house the whole time between the pool, dock, and kayaks. »

« Location is magical. Water views and nature views abound. Porches, open areas, views galore. On a quiet point, with a creek meets river, almost ocean like feel. It is a very special place. All you need-beds are super comfy and attention to details with seating and kitchen are greatly appreciated. Besides older adults, we had age-early 20s cousins that discovered the fun of croquet. We did puzzles, played games and kayaked a lot; explored the creek and braved the ever changing currents and tides...

« I booked this rental for a week to fish from my kayak because it was a waterfront property with access to the bay. There is a huge ma and pap hunting/fishing store 10 min away that I would recommend to pick up bait and gear. I did catch some keeper size crabs right off the dock as well as a nice sized shad in the coan river area with a minnow.To those looking to spend time on the water this is a great location. « We had a great time staying over the long Labor Day weekend. Our young kids and our dogs had a great time playing in the water and fishing off the dock. The stairs to the sand had recently been destroyed, along with a portion of the dock, but we were able to manage with the pool stairs they temporarily put in place. The house is a great location, clean and comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful stay. »
